Favorite Actor/Actress

I find it very hard to believe that this topic doesn't exist...but after searching very generally "Actor" and "Star" (theres a good 20 or so "STAR wars" topics) in the search engine and looking through all the results I didn't come up with anything...SO, who's your favorite film star? And preferably why!

One of my favorites recently has to be Jason Statham, I haven't really seen any bad movies with him in it save the Bank Job but that may have been because I was really high when I went and saw it.

Vin Diesel has done some really unique characters throughout the years that I thoroughly enjoyed such as Xander Cage (XXX), Riddick (Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick), and Dominic Toretto (The Fast and the Furious), although I'm pretty sure I only like his stuff because I'm a self proclaimed action Junkie. Most of the characters that he plays would have been substandard however if done by anyone else. I'm really looking forward to his new film Babylon AD.

I have also yet to see a bad movie with Morgan Freeman in it, though others said Wanted was a bad movie, I really liked it.

Also I'd like to give out an honorable mention to Clive Owen for his performance in Shoot 'Em Up.

Robert DeNiro head and shoulders above any other actor imo. The man does not do poor performances, they are all gold no matter what role he is in. Must admit he is a little bit typecast as a gangster or a gritty cop with a similar personality and attitude, but he is by far the best at what he does. Also 90% of the films he is a part of are completely brilliant, like Heat, Goodfellas, the Godfather or Taxi Driver.

Gary Oldman: Dracula, Zorg, Craazy fucker from The Proffesional, Mason Verger, etc... That dude has range.

Cate Blanchett for female, hands down.

Michael Caine here. Haven't seen a movie with him in it that I didn't love. Now that that's been said, let me go on the record saying I've never seen the 3rd Austin Powers movie.

For actor, I agree completely.

For actress, it's a toss up between Summer Glau and Felicia Day. Really, most of my favorite anything comes from Joss Whedon being near them (favorite movie, genre, actor, actress, etc.).

Male actor.. though one.. I'm going to go with Daniel Brühl from "Goodbye Lenin", "Edukators" and the poorly titled "Merry Christmas". I really like him, I think he's a great actor and has tons of potential.. Either him or Vincent Cassel, who's just plain amazing in movies like "La Haine" and "Eastern promises".
