Yourichi from Bleach is also awesome, between kicking ass and tormenting teenage boys. Luffy from one piece is fantastic as well as Brook, who while a new addition frequently makes me giggle. Vash from Trigun definately gets a vote (must rewatch that soon). Gah I've watched too many anime and can't remember them all, let alone all the characters.

This is also a very difficult topic for me and for the same reason, but if I had to I would go with Alucard, as he is far more badass than the characters of many other anime. He may not be as powerful as the DBZ characters, but is still freaking awesome!-Zen- said:

I find it amusing that you watched the only two anime series i would never recommend to anyone because they sucked (in my opinion). Hmm, tough question!
It's a tie between most of the characters from One Piece: Luffy, Sanji, Chopper are probably my top tier (Just something about that show and awesome characters) and Light Yagami, along with L from Death Note.
I enjoy a lot of anime, but there's just something about those characters that are truly special in my opinion.

I hate/hated near! He has a very awesome style, his personallity, is nearly as cool as L's, his deduction method *AND* the fact that he doesn't mind "cheating", makes him the smartest character in the story (It's those two combineded that makes him smart. If we talk pure raw intelligence L would win).Killzowned said:

When I see the series again, I find him cool, when I think of the thoughts the author had in mind for Near, I find him a great idea. But that detail stated above ruins most of his character for me.

Only reason I watched them was because I was bored and I asked a friend for some anime, he gave me a website with a direct link to the Ragnarok anime, and from there I searched for a few other series.Elivercury said:
