Hetalia. It's the only thing that has ever managed to make me actually pay attention in history class.

Neon Genesis Evangelion. I've become a fanboy methinks...

It had terrific fight scenes and an amazing psychological side. It was quite confusing at the end of the anime but it eventually made a lot more sense after the movie End of Evangelion.
If it made more sense after watching it, then Hideaki Anno didn't do his job properly xD

Tengen Toppa Gurran Lagann is my favourite; great characterisation, plot, with a little subversion of the whole mecha genre tied in there.

Your favorite type of anime that may be Japenese or dubbed in English? Mine for example is Bobobo-Bo Bobo-Bo; just tell your favorite anime and maybe a reason that IS your favorite anime. Bobobo was my favorite just because of how random it was; it went beyond random, it had obvious comedy, so blunt you could knock someone out with it!
That sounds a lot like Pani Poni Dash!.

My favorite anime is a tie between Fullmetal Alchemist and Code Geass. Both are really well done and things don't always go as planned. It's not some "obstacle, obstacle overcome, good guys prevail and none of the good guys are dead" crap. It's "good guys may not be the good guys after all, bad guys aren't black-and-white evil, many protagonists die, antagonists are smarter and more equipped than protagonists" stuff.

Of course, Fullmetal Alchemist is a little more original than the Code Geass anime, so I think I'll choose FMA.

Other animes that I've watched and liked but aren't my favorite are Lucky Star, Azumanga Daiho, Pani Poni Dash!, Bleach, Paranoia Agent, Full Metal Panic!, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya. I'm probably forgetting a few but eh, whatever.

Oh don't get me wrong, the movie was still amazingly confusing... It's just that with the original ending of NGE as it is... well you simply can't get more confusing than that.

I would have to say either claymore (although i liked the manga a bit more) or Naoki Urasawa's monster which i highly recommend.

There's so many to chose from, but if I must then My favourites would have to be.

1. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni. A brillant and bloody anime, that really messed my brain up. Until I got to the truth, (Not going to say anything, but I wasn't expecting it.)

2. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. The 2009 remake of the older series (which was also quite good.) but this time based on the manga. I loved it right from the very first episode. The fights, the characters and the plot twists.

3. Lucky Star. It's a show about, well nothing really but yet it always puts me in a good mood when I watch it.

4. Needless. A funny and while action packed show, which I just happened to stumble upon.

5. Code Geass. Season one had me gobsmacked, the story, characters and the fight scenes were simply amazing. R2 doubled these postive opinions of mine.

Excel Saga is my first choice by miles. It is seriously one of the funniest, most over-the-top things I have ever seen, ever.

Second would be Gasaraki. This is an unknown gem, and the best mecha anime out there. Think of it as Tom Clancy's Gundam.

My favorite is probably Code Geass for awesome action and it's cliffhanger episodes.

It's followed by Death Note even if it did go a bit sour half way through, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Bleach, though Monster is working its way up there.

Crayon Shin-Chan the dub for that show is absolutly great, and it is unbeliveably funny.

I also enjoyed the dub for Code Geass, Digimon, and Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Gunslinger Girls was ok but one I absolutly hated was Fruits Basket, because of the many frantic moments that Tohru has are just annoying with the english voice actors.

Man there are to many to count, and I don't care if its sub or dub as long as it's good I will watch it.

There's Sora no Otoshimono which perfectly combines random events with romance.

Please Teacher: Because who didn't dream of marrying their hot teacher?

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Do I really need to explain?

Sekirei: Because it's basically Pokemon for adults.

Grenadier: It had a very strong pacifist message going on that actually made sense.

Seitokai no Ichizon: Loved it, because it had a Lucky Star feeling to it, because of all the references in it.

Those are just some of my favorites.
