The Gorillaz because they are a collabration of many gifted and unknown artist that actually got me listening to many different types of music because of there style which is basically everything underground in a beautiful mix-match of music whos instrumentals fit perfectly with vocals, if its a rappser a female singer or a famous spanish singer I've never heard of before. I think I like all of there songs except Clapper(Man Research).

Flogging molly - upbeat celtic music from some very gifted song writers. It is impossible to not be in a good mood while listening.
Thank Christ i'm not the only one who listens to them. Drunken Lullabies kicks arse. Dropkick Murphies are good as well.

Favourite band would have to be AC/DC though.

I sit with my breath held waiting for the new Gorillaz CD to come out. That and the collaboration behind Gorillaz's new movie, a blend of music, animation and Live action. It WILL be awesome.

I never stick with a single band, in case they release a song so terrible it ruins them for me. Instead I mix their greatest hits together, and form some pretty decent party mixes.
I also listen to songs that annoy the piss out of everyone, CaramelDansen taking the crown there.

Probably the Search Engine genre. Primarily the band "Overdone Thread Topic."

But you know, that's just me.
I heard they were pretty good. Released a ton of "What's your favorite..." songs.

the fact that the Gorillaz style is so undefind means they could release a song with nothing but violin drums, and someone hiting a bong and it's still extremly catchy(I.E. Left Hand Suzuki Method)

yeah becaue they are a animated band it's hard to criticize them for there style making them the perfect models for moving around in the mainstream with little to no consequencesand the large amount of people with the gorillaz( most notably DJ Danger Mouse, Del The Funky Homosapien, Roots Maneauver, Booty Brown, Denis Hopper, Martina Topley Bird, The london Communtiy Gospel Choir, Shaun Rider, Ike Turner, Childrens Choir of San Fernandez, Neneh Cherry, MF Doom, D12, and De La Soul) makes sure that there music can entertain the masses along with some trully Beatifully bizzare stuff for the more hardcore Gorillaz Fans...

Gorillaz are bizarre, but good, but my favorite bands are as follows:

The Offspring
Zebrahead
Billy Talent
System Of A Down
Anti-Flag
(And by the way, I saw the Offspring a month or so ago with the Dropkick Murphys and it ROCKED!)

My favorite band would have to be Have a Nice Life. Dark, but catchy stuff.

My two favorite genres of music are Post-Rock and Shoegaze.

Disturbed, I don't think they have any songs I don't like for one and they have several songs that would easily make my top songs list.

Dresden Dolls or Humanwine. Not sure why I like them, but I do.
Amanda Palmer now that she has gone solo from the Dresden Dolls (not much of a step). Every song seems better than the last.
Wait, she did? I never really kept up with their music; just occasionally looked for new albums and never saw any. Now I'll look into her songs. About how many albums has she done?
Just one, Who Killed Amanda Palmer.
It does, however, have an accompanying music video for each song that can be viewed sequentially on youtube.

Type O Negative cause they are like listening to all my favorite genres in one. Usualy in one song. And they rock as much live as they do in studio.

edit: was wondering why someone would post yet another one of these... Welcome to the escapist!
Type O Negative are awesome. Peter Steele's voice is very powerful.

As for me, my favorite would have to be Obituary. It's the first Death Metal band I ever got into and their tone is just heavy. I like every song but one which isn't really them, but a rap-remix of a song.
