I won't let you suffer alone, from ages 18-23 they were my favorite band as well... then I discovered Indie Rock. They're still ONE of my favorite bands though.orannis62 said:[small]I am gonna get so much flak for this.[/small]U2, currently.
Ah, good to know I'm not the only Escapian who at least doesn't hate them. In my noobier days on the Escapist, I started a thread about U2 (about album recommendations, to be precise) and got torn to shreds.PedroSteckecilo said:I won't let you suffer alone, from ages 18-23 they were my favorite band as well... then I discovered Indie Rock. Figured everybody had heard of Flogging Molly... guess I'd have to go with Bob Marley and the Wailers.dijital101 said:Soul Coughing
Count me as one of the 10. They're supposed to be coming to town soon and I've been trying to convince my friends to go with me (I hate going to concerts alone, it's just weird)the protaginist said:Flogging Molly. now, if i can find at least ten other people on this site who's heard of them, all will be right in the world.
no problem with liking U2, they have a very strong repertoire, especially in the early 80's and early 90's (War and Achtung Baby are on my top album play lists). They've royally sucked in my opinion for the last few albums and should probably hang it up- but if some people like them, why stop.orannis62 said:[small]I am gonna get so much flak for this.[/small]U2, currently.
