Nirvana was Grunge. Daughtry and Nirvana share about as much in common as Slayer and The Beatles in my book.

So far, I've gathered this from this thread. One, I am very, very alone in my musical tastes. And two, far too many gamers like the music of 3 Doors Down, Slipknot, and Disturbed. Three, many gamers do not listen to the music from their generation (i.e., all this classic rock. I'm not hating, but I see almost no band that was formed within the last decade on anyone's list).

Thats because there are very few good bands from the past decade and none as good as YE OLDE ONES

Yes I know that, But grunge is not exactly mainstream so most often they are clumped in with alternative.

Its not that. Its because the general public has shitty taste and no one wants to make the effort to look for good music off of the radio because they are too busy listening to the classic rock station or popular metal station.
