I like the earliest Bat-Man villians like Stryker and Frenchie Blake the best. At first, Bat-Man was a very realistic comic with bad guys who were theives, mobsters, murderers etc. They were ordinary guys without any weird mutations. Bat-Man was a detective story given the super-hero comic book treatment. His first arch-villian, Doctor Death, is still fairly realistic too. I'd love to see a Batman movie done about Doctor Death. Especially if they manage to make it a period piece set in the 1940's instead of trying to make it modern and high tech. That would be a refreshing change.

Props to the OP though for bringing up some of the more obscure villians that don't get nearly enough attention. I'd like to see them in movies and newer comics instead of re-doing Joker, Penguin, Riddler etc. over and over.

Superman was the best villain against Batman. If you read Dark Knight Returns, then you'll know what I mean.

As retarded as this may sound, I think that there was a lot of potential for "Condiment King."

If I were a Batman writer, I would have flushed out his backstory more and add more condiment-based weapons to his arsenal, from pepper spray to a WMD filled with wasabi.

Either the Riddler, Harley Quinn or the Joker.

Actually, wait no, I choose Bane, because of this:

Still, I like the Joker a lot, as a villain, and always have done.

Harley Quinn. She's the ultimate fangirl and DAMN, THAT LATEX COSTUME.

But not the Arkham Asylum Harley Quinn. She looks too...ugh, she's just gross.

Solomon Grundy [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Grundy_(comics)]

What's not to like about an un-killable zombie crime lord?

I'm not really that bothered he didn't make it into the game though, as he would have probably been relegated to a 1 level boss character cameo, who would be really slow but have a lot of HP. He'd be more a hindrance and a chore to defeat rather than a properly developed villain.

Umm just about any from the comics, and whatever graphic novel they've appeared in over the years. Batman has the most in depth, darkest, and truly wicked villians out of any comic. nuff said.

it would definitely have to be a tie between the riddler (his riddles are cool and he`s crazy), the joker (the comic book one not the dark knight one for the light heated yet evil approach to chaos and all the prank weapons are cool too) and Harley Quinn (I just like how she says mister J because my first name starts with a J and I`ve always wanted people to call me that)

Harley Quinn, and the Joker. And Two Face played by Tommy Lee Jones, sorry Aaron Eckhart.

But I don't mind any that aren't Jim Carrey. I really can't stand him. [Sorry guys!]
