The End from MGS3. Onimusha 1&2 had some good bosses. The Anubis battles in the Zone of the Enders games were fun; I don't know about anybody else, but I appreciate some fights where you can't win, as long as you get a good fight in the process.

The first fight with the Dark Knight in Devil May Cry 1. Kazuya and Devil from Tekken 2. I also liked Icarus from God of War 2; it's a very atypical boss battle scenario.

Everything about MGS4 is a very mixed bag for me. The last fight though, I would count here overall. It's a suitably epic and raw mano-et-mano final fist fight.

I really like the Clayface battle from Arkham City.

Batman. Has. A. FUCKING SWORD.

Seriously, Batman with a sword.
Mr Freeze one was so much better. It's so so tense.

Wolverine has a couple of enjoyable and epic boss battles; though I don't feel they were "industry stand-out" good.

The fusion of Dracula and Death at the end of Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. Such an awesome twist on the normal demon dracula form and had such an epic feel to it.

This is a bit of a spoiler for an older game (eternal sonata) so...

The final battle of the game, when fredric turns on you, and trys to kill the party, as well as the the entire boss tower in the end, where you need to fight every boss to get to the top!

Trypticon from WfC: just cause it's a battle on an epic scale (Omega Supreme's battle sucked)

Snake VS Liquid Osalot and Rex VS Ray in MGS 4: i like the 'mood' surrounding the last boss, and Rex Vs Ray, ripping shit up in giant robots, fuck yeah

Blood Lord, Titan and Elchulus, Vindictus:
Blood Lord was the first raid boss in the game to actually be a challenge, he teleports, has an attack that dose 2K damage (which is a one hit kill if your fighting him at an even level) and is just fun to fight

Titan was the first raid boss to have an unblockable attack, which sounds like a 'dick move' but in practice, it was executed very well here, its gotta long wind up so you get tagged its your fault really.

Elchulus: big ass red dragon that flys, breaths fire, can almost take an hour to kill .... and you need more then 8 people (standard raid party size) to take him down, you need around 20-24, again, first boss to 'need' that many people to bring down (if you hadn't picked up on that patern yet)

It was good, but a nightmare on New Game+.

You had to do every single attack , and if you botched one you had to restart..

The Mr. Freeze fight in Arkham City (especially doing it speed-run style).

The bird colossus in Shadow of the Colossus.

The Dark Knight Cecil fight in Final Fantasy II (Original SNES version of IV) because you didn't know why exactly you were winning. You just had to have an epiphany.

Both final boss fights in Dead Space 1 and 2.

The End from MGS3.
I really loved that boss fight. Epic sniper duel in the forest, easily my favorite boss.

Others on my list:
- The Boss in MGS3 (That ending...)
- Crying Wolf in MGS4 (Another great sniper battle)
- Tower Knight in Demon's Souls (HO - HO HO HO - HO!)
- Flamelurker in Demon's Souls (for me the hardest Demon's Souls boss, but the most rewarding)
- Maiden Astraea in Demon's Souls (Sad fight, great music. And Garl Vinland has the coolest armor ever)
- The Gaping Dragon in Dark Souls (That beast knows how to make an entrance)

I really liked the final boss fight for Windwaker because it wasn't just another giant monster like you would normally fight in a Zelda series, you were actually having a SWORDFIGHT with Ganon one on one (or two on one later on). It was just all the more epic that you it wasn't as obviously a target the weak spot boss.

Danté vs Virgil at the end of DMC3. I love fights where to two combatants are evenly matched, it makes it so much more cool and exciting.

EDIT: Damn! In all my years I've never been ninja'd. Thought I was going for some kinda record.

Also the Hydra from the opening of God Of War. Epic.

kingdom hearts 2 fight against Sephiroth

it feels more like a dual than a scripted boss fight and really is a lot of fun
