Simple question: Favorite game campaign. I should think the word "campaign" would apply to any FPS, as well as most games with separate single player story/multiplayer game modes. Ergo, RPGs like Mass Effect and Fable aren't really "campaigns", are they?
ANYWAY!!!!

My favorite campaign was definitely the Halo 2 campaign. Very challenging, and a very good story and I didn't find it repetitive. This is the game that really broke me into the fps genre, before that, it was all third person and such. The levels had a linear build to them, but were still very good for exploration. I really found the story compelling. I, personally, found the Master Chief and Arbiter missions to play out fairly differently. The chief had it more fast paced, with lots of satisfying covenant ownage. The Arbiter had a more stealthy affair in some missions, which often involved being bitchingly outnumbered, like the chief, but winning with precision and care rather than badassery. The Arbiter's flood missions gave the feel of desperate survival. After being betrayed by the brutes, his missions were once again skillfully dispatching greater (and this time, usually better armed) groups of opponents, with a special elite strike team of... elites...
It also brings back good memories of hammering away at halo 2 with my friend before our parents had a falling out and we saw each other less and less. But that's going off topic and way personal, so... yeah...
what's your favorite campaign?
