My favourite deaths of all time:

Rorschach's death at the end of Watchmen. I was watching the film, and couldn't resist the urge to yell 'DO IT ******' at that point. Awesome.
Also, the death of V. The trainload of lilies and gelignite was incredibly fitting.

I'm on a massive Alan Moore kick right now, I know.

I can agree. But, he had to pay for his crimes. And contemplating the death of your own sister? That's just cold.
I disagree - he was just trying to make a better world.
Admittedly, he was a little insane, but most people are.
They just never get any chance to have it become a problem, because they don't have any power.

Also, I thought that sister comment was aimed at me for a minute.
I can agree with that disagreement. True his intentions were for the greater good but that doesen't take away from the fact that: He DID murder countless people. As for his insanty: You are correct. Like they say: Power corrupts.

Kinda obscure, but here goes:

The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks.
Frank is walking along the beach with his little brother when they find a half buried unexploded bomb from WW2; its point pokes upwards out of the sand. Frank tells his brother that it is actually the bell from the old abandoned church that has washed up. He hands him a stick and tells him to ring the bell.
"But wait!" Frank says, and runs over to the other side of a sand dune, pops his head over the top and shouts, "Okay! Now!"

So, what's everyone's most memorable death scene?

I think death scenes in games/movies/novels should always leave a lasting impact on the viewer.
Tom cruise in interview with the vampire! despite the face he didnt die you think hes dead and its great

I always thought that Turin's death scene from Tale of the Children of Hurin by JRR Tolkien was very dramatic. Well, the whole story kind of is.
Yeah the whole ending was brilliant, especially when Hurin and Morwen sit on the grave until she dies. But the whole Beleg thing was probably the saddest.

The end of Blade Runner[i/].

Marv in Sin City
.

In Titanic[/i] when the guy falls off the boats stern and hits the propellar on the way down. More of a random death than a death scene , but still farking great.
I remember the titanic one ,i was watching it with my cousin(it was her birthday or somethig) who was crying her eyes out whilst i`m desperatly trying not to laugh

Coltaine in Deadhouse Gates. Crucified and then shot through the forehead with an arrow by an archer on his side. His death is unneccessary and avoidable, but is incredibly powerful because of it.

In Lost
Faraday's death at the hands of his mother. It just fit so perfectly with his flashbacks.
My least favorite would probably be any death in Grave of the Fireflies.

I'd have to say in COD 4 when Jackson is nuked and you crawl around as him. I though he was going to live but then he died
or
the last mission of COD 4 (not mile high club mission)

Me? I liked Will Smith's death in I Am Legend where he (Spoiler Alert!!) pulls the pin out of the grenade and wipes out the zombies and himself. Also, Tom Hanks character in Saving Private Ryan was pretty cool. Another of my favourites in on James Bond ( I can't remeber which one. The one with Halle Berry) where he opens the door of the plane and the bad guy gets sucked out through the propellors.

Well I've seen many of those but two most recent would be in:

World in Conflict, the death of Bannon

Metal Gear Solid 4 - The guns of the Patriots

Death of the Big Boss at the cemetery

Oh man, Grave of the Fireflies.... I saw the cartoon and that was gut wrenching.. Then they had a live action remake for an anniversary edition... that was a kick in the balls.
