I realize this may have been done before, but I was bored.

Pics are most welcome.
Aerie from Baldurs gate 2!

Also Rochelle....
due to the interesting lack of personality she has! (or doesnt)

Samus Aran

Simply because she's the only female main character who is genuinely cool.
Her and GLaDOS.
Ninja'd with Samus.

But why does everyone think GLaDOS is female? I consider an AI program to be an it, after all it has no defining male or female characteristics.

Samus Aran, like LOLZFFVII said she is the only female character who is genuinely cool and strong-willed.
In my opinion of course.

The Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3; seriously awesome and she was an original character and not just another dumb stereotype unlike most female game characters these days. Also Elena Fisher from Uncharted, another example of a realistic character rather than a stereotype.

Mmmm so you all see what I did there? Did you really?

Of course I'm kidding

On an honest note, Laura from Tomb Raiders is my favorite. And I mean the good old gal from when the game was British.
I take it you're quite fond of Poison too then?
Me likey.

Honestly why does everyone frak up her name? It's not Laura its Lara. Is there some version where her name is Laura that I am unaware of?
Well I purposely typo her name because you completely given up keeping her name straight when you're muttering 'Come on Lara... Jump! Grab onto that!' and your aunt of the name 'Laura' walks into your room with a confused look on her face as to why you're saying her name over and over again.

She's voiced by a woman, and then there's this:

Samus, for one: She wore power armor BEFORE it was cool, yo!

I'm tempted to say Lightning, but the ONLY reason she stands out in my mind was that she was the only character in that worthless fucking game which I didn't wanna strangle, so more a comparisson issue than actual likeability.

Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine probably tie for my #1 spot. If you don't know who these two are, then I weep for you.

No one's mentioned Kreia yet? Or are we only allowed the attractive ones?

Admittedly, I was FINALLY able to get most of the content restored, which makes the game MUCH MUCH better. In the restoration, she delivers some of the most crushingly righteous Hannibal Lectures ever.

And unlike Bridget, this one has curves.
Oh, and is a bit more confusing too.

Chun Li or maybe cammy from streetfighter. Both could kick the living shit out of vega, which was always a good thing.

Rinoa, Selphie, Terra, Yuna, Rikku, Vanille and Fang from various FF's.

Jade from Beyond Good & Evil.

Midna <3333 She was so fucking awesome.

Ooh, and Lara Croft of course, though her character's getting a little shakey what with all these alternate continuities going on.

Alma, from f.e.a.r.

Oh, don't look at me like that. I just think it's awesome the way she liquefies people.
