HK-47 from KotOR is probably my all-time favorite. I'm also a fan of Yossarian and Milo Minderbinder from Catch-22, Hannibal Lector, Lucky from Waiting for Godot, Wilson from House, Vivian Bearing from Wit, Hamlet...

Odd that a video game character wins over all those other guys, but his psychotic dialogue and deadpan delivery were irresistible.

John Clark from Tom Clancy novels. He's all sorts of awesome (didn't translate well into the two movies sadly).

Jayne Cobb from Firefly. I just got the series (four episodes in, but I've seen Serenity a few times) and he's already becoming one of my favourite characters of all time. Plus, I've always had a man-crush on Adam Baldwin. Every character he plays is ten-times the awesome of anyone else, plus he never ages.

Special Mention: Hans Landa "The Jew Hunter" from Inglourious Basterds. He steals the movie. Watch this movie if you want to see one of the best characters/performances in film history.
