Hows no one mentioned Hokuto Shinken?

Ken Shiro has the best moves ever in Fist of the northstar.

"youre already dead" Best come back ever.

Everyone loves a hundred crack fist. Everyone he fights dies horribly, heads exploding.

Tai-kwan-doe, although I would love to learn Shaolin Kung Fu.
TKD is fun, but I'm affraid both of these styles are pretty useless.
im not the owner of this accoun it's a friend.
tkd is very usefull. i know that the instructors do no teach you grappling but it is very effective if you want to protect yourself
they sometimes teach you grappling and ground techniques. you just have to be good so don't assume things

Smashin' people across the face with my crutch. Luckily I've never had to use this deadly and graceful fighting style.

BJJ is the only skill Ive had to use outside of the gym and it finished things quick.
BJJ is great (I've practiced it myself), but it takes forever to win a fight against somebody who knows anything about Judo, wrestling or JJ. And even if you manage to get your opponent into submission, he's likely to want to fight you again once you let him go, escpecially if he's drunk. Also it can only be used in 1 on 1 fights and makes you much less mobile than standing combat and is pretty damn important in case the the cops show up.
That makes BJJ much less effective as a street-fighting style than kick boxing or Muay Thai in my opinion, but I can count my street fights on my fingers, so I'm not an expert.
Hey I'm one away from black belt in Tai-kwan-doe, it is useful but your right if you are saying maybe it's not as useful as say, Jujitsu. Didn't know Shaolin kung-fu was usefless though, what a shame. Oh well

favorite real martial art is Jeet Kun Do, the martial art of Bruce Lee.

For fictional martial arts, the ansatsuken ("Murderer's Fist" style, a real world term for a deadly assassination art) used by Ken, Ryu, Gouken, and Akuma in the Street Fighter series.

Real: Despite knowing taekwondo, I really love Capoeira, wish I could learn that.

Fictional: I have...no idea, there's too many to choose from, though gun kata IS badass.

My stand up is actually my first and strongest discipline, Ive done free style karate then kick boxing since god had a dog. Ive only got 3 years grappling experience.

The only reason I choked the guy out was because he was a big gorilla of a rugby player and he tried to tackle me to the floor, it would be rude not to at that point. Im glad Ive learned BJJ as he would have seriously hurt me with the size difference. At that point I wasnt letting him go whist he was awake. In the end the bouncers turned up and escorted us both out, they had to carry him. It ruined my night and he got snot/spit all over my shirt.

In the UK we dont do wrestling in high school, BJJ schools are rare and people tend to take boxing over judo. If it comes to grappling Im confident, though stand and bang is my first choice.

This is my only real fight since high school, Im 28 so Ive done well. Normally you can talk your way out or walk away, always the right thing to do. Fighting is normally avoidable.
Just a quick question, Do you live in the yorkshire area?? Becuase when I was just getting started in MMA I heard a very simlier story from one of the guys in the gym.

Any way for me
The stand up styles that I train in:

Boxing: This is one of the best stand up styles there is, I know people criticise it for not having any other moves then punching, but the defence in boxing is brilliant and the strikes are powerfull. also when fighting boxer (and your not trained in Muay Thai or anythink simlier or BJJ) play on the outside and make them kicks count becuase you can only throw one kick at a time but punches come in flurries and combonations.

Muay Thai: Mixing this with Boxing makes you extremley well rounded, its a very adaptable style, its brutal and well balanced, its perfect for street fighting if your taking on more then one opponent, if your facing off against some one untrained (most piss heads arent trained) the flying knee will devistate them. The moves are very straight forward which makes them easy to use in street fights and are also extremly powerful, the use of the clinch and elbows also makes it one of the few fighting styles that can lst against a boxer on the inside.

Kyokushin Karate: I'm very new to this style and the training in this style is very different from the way we are tuaght in the above style, it seems to be more focused on Katas. I wouldnt recommend using this style on its own but the punches in this style are very powerful hand the style its self has increased my punching strength, the defence in this style isnt brilliant so I dont recommend just training this style try it with some think like boxing to increase deffence, also the kicks in this style are sort of simlier to the ones used in Muay Thai.

Ground styles I train in:

Judo: Judo as some of the best throws and is excellent for taking your opponent to the ground but the submissions are limited compared to Jui Jitsu.

Jui Jistu: This style is like judo only less emphasis on throws, but the submissions learned can be devistating and painful.

Brazilian Jui Jitsu: This style is essentially the above styles mixed together and is the most have style for all mixed martail artists, The throws are brilliant and the submissions are painfull, probably the best ground style out there in my opinion.

Wrestling: This style as much more emphasis on throws and take downs but theres a good amount of submissions here.

Styles I would like to learn:
Krav Magar: This style seems extremly usefull and brutal I would like to train this one day but theres no were ive found that trains it.

Wing chun: This style seems very good for defence and counter attacks again theres no gym in my area that teaches this.

Kendo: Ive wanted to learn this all my life but again no gym around.

Fictional: Tifa Lockhart's fighting style
I think Tifa's fighting style is a mix of Kickboxing and Teakwondo.
