Favourite - MGS4 because it is the perfect combination of everything I loved from the first 3 along with the greatest video game story ever.

Most Hated - Silent Hill Homecoming....it just made a mockery of the entire series.

Favourite game: FFVII
- I love the story, gameplay, the characters, the weapons, the Golden Saucer...

Least favourite game: Colosseum: Road to Freedom
- The most bitingly average game I have ever played. Nothing wrong with it other than some buggy gameplay but it's so average its bad.

Favourite game : Total Annihilation UFO - Enemy Unknown (The first X-com)
Quite possibly the best game ever made. It still has quite a big community of modders and veterans. There is so much pumped into the game, rivalling modern games in terms of features and diversity.

Worst game : Spore
Such a disappointment. Could've been one of the most iconic games ever, but they screwed it all up.

Favourite: Shining Force 2: I was a gamer BEFORE shining force 2 and I met, but it changed everything. It was the first 'epic adventure' I ever embarked on, and it left such an impression on my malleable young mind. It was everything. Tough, deep, involved, a little scary (trust me when you're 7 the chessboard fight is terrifying!) and just perfect.

Least Favourite: GTA. Look, it's not that I hate open world 'sandbox' action games. It's just that I think gaming would be better if they never existed. Kinda like how vanilla ice cream is alright, but chocolate is nicer (yes it is shut up) GTA wasn't the -first- of this genre but it broke the ground, as it were.

Favourite: Star Wars Battlefront 2: There was a few contending for this spot, but for pure amount of fun had, this was the game i had the biggest blast on multiplayer. Lots of good times messing around, with a decent campaign (even though the story is simplistic to say the least.)

Least Favourite: Even harder to pick, but im going to say Fable 2 for the pure let down. I hadn't played Fable 1, and I was really looking forward to it. However, the world, while colourful, seemed devoid of anything remotely interesting. Combat was so monotomous, all i ever did was throw fireballs after a while. When i started, I kinda had the intention by a row of houses and put a wife in each one, but the bland characters put an end to that pretty quick. Such a short campaign, and I wasnt even able to finish it.

Favourite: Drakengard. Amazing piece of work. Gameplay was repetitive, enemies were bog standard, and the dragon fighting was boring. But there is a sword called the
that cuts through enemies life a hot knife through butter.
The story was also a major part. Wish I could see the unedited Japanese version. The western version sort of blanked out the references to paedophilia, paedicide and incest which was actually a major part of the characters, not just in there for shock. Please tell me if you've played this game.

Least: Red Faction 2. Ace Combat 0: The Belkan War. Added nothing to the series. Before this, I played AC:04, Distant Thunder/Shattered Skies. Amazing game.

Favourite: Metal Gear Solid 3. The added survival and camouflage elements worked well, the boss fights were terrific and no other game has given me an emotional response as strong. I'm only slightly ashamed to admit that I cried.

Least favourite: Pokémon Soul Silver. I couldn't even finish it. The sequels have been adding less and less, and I've been enjoying them less and less as a result, but Soul Silver was the first that I thought genuinely had nothing new to offer.

I played Drakengard before (rented from gamefly) and I do not know about any censorship in the one I played. It pretty much hinted directly at it or just said it.

you would think so (spoilers) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drakengard#Development], but apparently it does get worse.

Favourite game: Championship Manager 03-04
Reason: It's the most addictive game I've ever played. Really immersive - and a lesson that a game doesn't need graphics to draw you in.

Least favourite: Astro Boy (PS2)
Reason: Bad controls, bad camera, dull gameplay, short length. Rubbish.

Favorite game: Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time
I had played plenty before I picked up this game, but I stand by my claim that this was the game that made me a true "gamer". It was the first game of its size and scope that I had played up to that point, and to this day, its standard of complete quality in all aspects, given the limitations of its genre and hardware, has only been matched on rare occasions.

Least favorite (that I have played): the original Halo trilogy
I could never play it at any level of skill, neither in single player nor multiplayer, no matter how long and hard I tried. It paved the way for my least-favorite genre of games on consoles. And IMO, also was the trailblazer in a large part of what I find to be wrong with games today.

Jagged Alliance 2 is the pinnacle of the squad based TBS. It's Xcom with personality.

Hated, well, well, well. Condemned 2, because it is a stupid, stupid, stupid story.

Favorite Games:
The Void.- Because it's just a great work of art, better than SotC, Silent Hill or any other game. It had interpretation, a sense of flow and style and it was bloody hard.
Silent Hill 2.- You know why, Yahtzee even said why it's great.

Least Favorite:
Prince of Persia the Two Thrones.- It had removed many of the aspects that did the second game fun. The platforming wasn't fun, the Dark Prince made you fell more weaker than more powerful plus it was draining your health all the bloody time.
Fable.- Boring story, repetitive gameplay, overpowered spells, not many of your choices mattered, etc.

Favourite is probably Shadow of the Colossus mainly due to it being so fucking epic, or something from the Ratchet and Clank series just because it's so fun.

Least favourite is easily Spiderman 3, I loved Spiderman 2 so thought this would be more of the same, it had worse graphics, acting, gameplay, and looong boring boss fights.

Favourite: Either KotOR or Oblivion. The former because of its brilliant storyline and great characters, the latter for its incredibly immersive world and fantastic soundtrack to go with it.

Least favourite: KotOR II! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the worst game I've ever played, not by far, but it took one of the best games ever, raped it (for example the story: You saved the jedi? Well, guess what? They're all dead now anyway!) and ruined the series, preventing any further sequels. It was also a disgrace to the original to have such an abomination as a sequel. It was in no way a worthy successor.

Edit: And from playing The Witcher so far it seems like that game is gonna be in my top 10 games as well. I'm only at the end of Act II though, so it might change.

Favorite - SH3.

Am I the only one who thinks Silent Hill 3 was better than 2? Yes, the second was extremely subtle and a good "ghostlike" atmosphere to it, but SH3 had the nightmarish, evil underworld that had gone unimagined in previous games. The enemies were far more evil, the end environments were straight out of some sordid nightmare, and...THOSE DAMN MERCENARY CREATURES WITH THE KNIVES ON THEIR HANDS chased you above an empty void when you stood atop the floating pedestal of eternity, darkness, and damnation itself.

Worst - World of Warcraft. I blame this game for almost destroying the RPG and by making people have to cater to its formulas and method because no one else can compete with the corporate giant.

Favourite game - Diablo 2

I love that game to bits, for many reasons. The learning curve is practically non existent, the fact you can play with 7 friends, the thousands upon thousands of items you can find, create, or steal. The colour on my mouse wore away from playing that so much. Based on time spent playing, and how much I enjoyed it, this has to be at the top.

Hated game - Banjo Kazooie; Nuts & Bolts

I adored the original N64 title, and even downloaded it from XBLA for a nostalgia hit. But buying this, even for a bargain fiver, had none of the gameplay I enjoyed. Except for collecting notes. I played for all of 10 minutes and the thought "What the dick am I supposed to be doing?!" never left my mind.

Favorite: Mass Effect 2. This is how I like my RPG: story and decision focused. Even though the combat is a bit dumbed down from Mass Effect 1 and mineral scanning is just bullshit, I absolutely love this game. The story is good, the characters are great (and mostly well acted) and the dialogue system is just amazing. Even though there can be really long dialogues, the interactivity never makes it boring.

Worst: FF13. This is exactly what I don't want a game to be like. A narrow tube leading to cutscenes. Unlikeable characters. Too long. Combat is kinda ok actually, though it can get really tedious at times. And then the game starts being a dick around 20 hours and bringing in bossfights that last 20 minutes and then they give the bosses moves that can instakill you. And you are unable to dodge. Bullshit.
