Not sure, can't say, too many variables, oh wait, I know: Planescape Torment. Why? One particular talking skull comes to mind, also a rat hivemind, a living alley, sympathetic undead and just generally destroying every single Fantasy RPG cliche known to man. God I love this game so much.

Can't really think of a game I played that I actually hated with a passion. Was let down by Spore, hated the stupidity of the writing in Fallout 3, but overall I did, somewhat, enjoy playing them.

My favorite is probably Saints Row series, its just fun. I like it.

Least favorite is Superman 64. Is it hard to figure out why?

Favorite - There are quite a few, most notably Super Metroid, Megaman 2 and FF7.

Least favorite - Superman 64. I know, I know, everybody knows about this waste of plastic. I remember when my friend first got it along with his new N64. We played it, and never again have I ever known two twelve-year-olds to get so angry at rings. 11 years later, I still can't play the training mission in Starfox without being reminded of that abomination.

Current favorite: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

Something else that gets a vote: Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3.

Least favorite: I honestly can't remember one. Most games that I dislike, I return to get my money back.

It's hard to decide on your absolute favorite game so I hope you don't mind that I just list contenders:

Kingdom Hearts: The underlying theme, difficulty (I was inexperienced) and mechanics of the game have made it a favorite of mine.
Civilization 2: It introduced me to strategy games (now one of my favorite genres)
Rome:TW : The greatest strategy game I've ever played IMHO.

My least favorite game:

Spore

I bought into the hype from day one. I waited for probably 3 years for its release after seeing Wright's first introduction of it. I shared that same video with all my friends (not an easy task since youtube didn't exist and I usually did it in person) and acted like an insane fanboy. I was promised what I believed would be the gaming equivalent of the wheel. What I got was a flawed game with a fun mechanic and an interesting concept.
It's the game that taught me not to buy into hype, that I should not get my hopes up over a game and that even the best laid plans go wrong.

It destroyed my gamer innocence.

Favorite: tLofZ:ALttP simply for Nostalgia reasons (Holy rosy Nostalgia goggles Batman!)
Wrost: One of the many broken or just plane bad games I used to play as a kid before I knew how to pick something at least half decent. They all sucked.
Shame on anyone who picks a functional game for this, you're letting your anti-fanboyisum blind you to the true horror of games: shovelwear!

My favorite game would have to be Deadly Premonition. Sure, the graphics are sub-par and the controls are a little clunky, but dear god is the game fun. The story's great, with plenty of twists, the characters are all interesting in their own way, and it's actually really funny.

Least favorite has already been touched upon: Spore. I bought into the hype as well, so I got it (as a present, thankfully), played it for a few hours, then never touched it again. It could have been good, but it was just a massive disappointment.

Buggy to all out hell unpatched
But once patched its a very interactive and all around better experience than SoC

Least-Most generic FPS shooters
They just stopped making feel accomplished after COD4
Last FPS i played and made me feel truly acomplished was BIA:Hells Highway and New Vegas

Favorite: Mass Effect 2, Big, immersive, and with fun and versitale Gameplay
also i hold it up as a beaken of good writing and story in an industry that needs to pay them more attention

Most hated: honestly im going to piss off a few people and say Silent hill 2, i hate that game
its the controls their supposed to make the game more scary but not before i gave up out of frustration
seriously there is no excuse for this kind of ineptitude on the part of the developers just because its "making a statement"
how can this game be immersive if your taken out of the expierience every few seconds my Wonky controls, how could it be scary when i was literally begging for something interesting to happen after hours of wandering and finding monsters that were not very scary or dangerous to begin with
