I first started playing vidya games when I was... ten, and that wasn't terribly long ago, so 'as a child' doesn't apply to that age just yet.

Well I was born in 91 so I played Pokemon, Super mario world(great game), mario 64, ps1 rpgs, etc.
Are you sure there were 7? I was fairly certain there were only 5. I got the first 4 on one cd when I was about 11. They were called Quest for Glory instead of King's Quest but it was the same game. And QFG (or King's Quest) V was the big 3d one that was released a few years ago.Senaro said:

I used to play Dr Robotniks MBM with my mates when I was seventenn. We'd sit round at his flat, get a couple of bottles of cider and get hammered, hurling insults at each other till the early hours of the morning. Good times

Hmm..missed this before. Super Mario Bros. 3 got a lot of my attention when I was young. So didn't Contra and Super C. God, I loved those games.
Funny thing, I used to be barely able to finish them with the Konami code back then. Now I can clear Super C and end with more lives than I started with.

One of the first video games I ever played was K.C. Crazy Chase on the Odyssey 2. It was kind of a Pac-Man meets centipede game.
Favourite games when I was a child are Ultima II & IV, Wizards Crown & The Eternal Dagger, Typhoons of Steel & Panzer Blitz, North Atlantic '86, 50 Mission Crush and the best of all, Computer Ambush - an SSI classic.
Stargoose. A floppy disc game from 1983. AWESOME.

Ooohooohoooh - and a few of the games on my dad's and uncle's (I think it was uncle's...) Atari 2600 - ET, Pacman, that Tutenkhamun game, Combat and Gangster Alley. All fun.
