Valve. They're just incontestably awesome.

2K are good, too. And Bethesda. But Valve are yet to make a game of anything but an excellent standard, with the possible exception of Ricochet. But we don't speak of that one...

Good list right there, I agree with all those. I am personally a huge fan of Monolith as well.

I haven't played FEAR, but my friend loves that game.

FEAR was pretty great if you don't mind the lack of level variety. I think it is one of the best all-out-balls-to-the-wall shooter I've ever played. I am more a fan of their Condemned games though. FEAR 2 is the only game of theirs I feel has been lacking. DO NOT ever play FEAR on ps3 though (based on your favorite developers I'm assuming that is what you play on) It is not a good port at all.

Bioware - because of Mass Effect
Ubisoft - some of my best gaming memories came from playing games such as the original Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell. And I loved the Assassin's Creed games.

Although EPIC and Valve are competing for the top place at the moment.

Infinity Ward - Call of Duty series
Lionhead - Don't know why people hate these guys. Sure Pete Smegalox is a bit of a knob, but they I never listen to any hype for any games and don't pay attention to any media, so I'm not really affected by broken promises or overhyped games..
Rockstar North - GTA series... Surprised no one mentioned these badboys.
Ubisoft - Prince of Persia: SoT is the best platformer, *Jeremy Clarkson pause* in the world.
Naughty Dog - Am I the only one who loves them for Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter?

i love EA they always release such high quality games even though they take their time and i hate valve they just churn out generic trash games what seems like every week ......*sniggers*

REASONS
BioWare- Honestly I just don't like the combat system they have used in any of their games. I would probably love their games but their combat controls always feel so broken.

Lionhead- Hype-pushing Dbags. Fable sucked. Fable 2 sucked harder. Black and White series are Civ with a rigid, completely flawed "moral" system. Peter Molyneaux needs to take a very long walk off a very short pier.

Square-Enix- Tried to cash in on crappy games based on Enix's polished record of great action-RPGs while still pushing their frankly obviously aging Final Fantasy franchise as hard as possible. The little deviation they do have from the formula (Drakenguard, Nier, Dissidia) sucks horribly.

My favorite developers would have to be Insomniac, Sucker Punch, DICE, and Naughty Dog.

Least favorite would have to be Capcom, mainly because of all the crap that looked good at first that they duped me into buying.
