Ninja'd by the OP.

The wavebird is the epitome of perfect wireless controller, even without rumble. I always preferred the gamecube controller layout.

L1, R2, Triangle, are you friggin' kidding me? Shouldn't some of the buttons have a different texture, so I don't actually have to look at the thing?
WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN???

You are actually telling me that you have to know what the buttons feel like in order to remember what they are???

The Xbox controller, that thing is just a wreck when i put it in my hands. the joystic and the shoulder buttons get stuck and the buttons are just unethical

I've always liked the PS2 controller but runners-up include the Famicom controller, the XBOX controller, and the later PS1 controllers after the analog sticks were put on. My least favourite is either the Wiimote or the N64 ...thing.

A PS3 controller, I guess it's just because it's the only controller I really use and am familar with it.

Not to mention it has remained mostly unchanged since the original console. All they did is add joysticks and widen the L2/R2 buttons for the Dualshock 2 and change them to padles for the sixaxis and DS3.

I loved the gamecube and 360 controllers, I can't understand what's great about the playstation controller :\ The analog sticks are in an annoying place.

My personal opinion only, I know some people love the PS controllers >.<
Annoying? As in next to each other?

I can understand some people are comfortable with the 360s sticks being asymmetrical, it just strikes me as weird that you would consider the ps3 as having the weird layout.

Im not saying your wrong or anything just strikes me as wierd.

Indecently, mine is the ps controllers, there all the same (roughly) so I am very used to it after 15 years.

I love the Power Glove, It's so bad.

But in all seriousness, I would have to say the Gamecube controler is my favorite because it is the perfect size and shape and they are some of the most durable controlers ever made.

I'd have to say either the Gamecube or X-Box 360 controller is the best. Both of them feel natural in your hands.

THe Wavebird was amazing: wireless worked perfectly, and the Gamecube controller was one of the most comfortable ever. But I'd have to go with the Xbox 360 controller. It was the kind of thing where I hadn't even realized how much better it was then the original Xbox controller until I went back to an original Xbox once. This means the differences were subtle, and it still felt familiar when I started using it, but it was dramatically more comfortable and streamlined despite this familiarity. Brilliant.

Probably my favourite is the GameCube controller, then a tie between the 360 and PS3 controllers. The 360 pad is good but the D-Pad is quite bad, the PS3 D-Pad is vastly superior but the back triggers are really awkward (for me anyway)

See my next couple of posts after this, they explain it.

I like to use keyboard and mouse most of the time, then the Wii remote and nunchuck, then gamecube/classic/playstation controller and I'll have xbox at the end of my list simply because I've only ever used the original one that seemed custom made for people with ginormous hands.
