Are we talking intro cinematic or just gameplay introduction?

As far as gameplay introductions go, mine would probably be Bioshock. From fear to despair to hope to admiration to fear again in a few minutes.

Going to second this one, along with Bioshock 2's in a distant second. Bioshock 1 had the emotional roller coaster listed above, while Bioshock 2 had a punch to the stomach in the first 30 seconds. In both cases, I just sat there, staring at the screen, emotionally exhausted.

I don't know if it really counts as an intro, but COD4 has a great opening sequence. Quick tutorial mission on the boat, followed by living the execution of... That dude, I forget.
Also Bioshock, but you all knew that. Nothing else immediately comes to mind.
EDIT: As the above poster says, the Brawl theme is quite epic.
ANOTHER EDIT: I can't believe I forgot this.
Love that song, and it's a good introduction to the world of Pandora.

The game also makes me weep every time *that* scene and related scenes plays.
Even though I know exactly what's going to happen, I tear up.
Hell, since I know, I even tear up in advance.
