Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

Massively underrated game IMO. Shame it did so poorly that Rare has been relegated to casual Kinect games now.

Team Ico games never sell as well as they deserve either.
What about Shadow of the Colossus? Didn't that sell 140k copies in the first week? And that's just in Japan alone. Plus, to be fair, Ico didn't recieve much of an advertising campaign. If it did, it could have easily sold as well as Shadow.

Agreed. That was a fun game with a great style. I really would have liked to know how they would have continued that story.

I don't think it "tanked" per se, but one game that didn't get as much attention as it would have deserved was World in Conflict. For a multiplayer based game like WiC, the player base always was too small to sustain a community over time.

Nier.
Can't think of another game that did as poorly as Nier did but was simply amazing.
Unfortunate that the studio actually went out of business due to it. Wonderful game.

Second Sight was an underappreciated gem. Kinda easy as far as games go, but the plot was pretty tight and interesting and the mechanics were fun.

Uplink was also an awesome indie PC game that never got enough attention (Introversion games in general).

Okami: It's the worst selling game that won a game of the year award.
Did I give you permission to post Okami before I had the chance to?

Well did I?

I second Okami.

Team Ico games never sell as well as they deserve either.
No, but you arn't the only one who thinks it's great (It's in my top three best games ever).

Also, as TLS14 said, SotC did sell quite well. Good thing to because after Ico bombed it must of been hard to justify making a similar game.

Im not sure how it did sales wise, but Alpha Protocol.
Less than a million across all platforms as far as I know. Not enough for Sega to greenlight a sequel anyway.Pity as I absolutely loved that game despite it's flaws

Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness

People outright hated it! But I loved it because it was fun for me. The controls were a little clunky; and didn't really translate well into 3D. However, the storyline was rather good and I enjoyed playing as Cornell.

Skies of Arcadia. It's a wonderful and inventive JRPG, yet due to lack of interest in the genre over here added to how many JRPGs were released at the time (this was when games like Final Fantasy was in its prime), it just got hardly anything for what its worth.

Wet did kinda badly, right? Even if it didn't, I'm going to pretend it did, because Psychonauts and Okami can only be said so many times.

In a time of generic, gritty shooters, it was nice to be able to just have a run along a wall and not worry about all that reloading rubbish.

Yea, I'm gonna have to agree with Okami. In fact, it was such a massive bomb it bankrupted Clover Studios.

A damn shame, really.
