Final Fantasy 13-2 is my favorite game so far for this year; its also the only new game I've played this year...

Oh Vanguards! You guys really piss off my friend and I. There was one player that my friend and I encountered in a couple games and he kept taking all of my friend's and some of my kills. The guy ended each game with almost triple the score of my friend, and it wasn't because my friend wasn't trying or doing good. The guy was literally taking almost 3/4ths of the kills.

We got really tired of it, so we intentionally didn't revive him if he got knocked out. We were easily able to hold our own without him, so it wasn't a problem to let him die.

Right now, it's definitely Mass Effect 3. Yes, we know, the ending was bad, but that doesn't nullify the other 99% of the game was so incredibly well done! Not only my favorite game of the year so far, but one of the best games of this gen as well.

Journey is a very, very close second. Best indie game I've ever played.

Mass Effect 3, without a doubt. I didn't love the ending but neither did it leave me wanting to murder Bioware employees and spread their entrails in the carpark as a warning to future developers. The game itself was fun to play, in places it was genuinely emotional and moving so yeah, I can forgive the ending being a bit... meh.

So yes, for me, Mass Effect 3 is the best game of this year - so far.

Favorite full game - Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I wish that crafting system was in Skyrim, the art style is vibrant and pretty, I love the exotic weapons (read: chakrams and faeblades), no strong main theme, but the music is nevertheless exceptional... there's a LOT to love.

Favorite not full game - TERA beta. I'm more psyched for TERA than I am for any other game this year. Okay, the questing was... not the best. Entirely too many fetch quests for my liking, but this IS an Asian - Korean, if memory serves - MMO, so I guess it's just part and parcel. At least when you look to collect zebra legs, you loot 4 legs off every zebra, so that's an improvement over some WoW creatures apparently not having heads.
That said, virtually everything else was insanely awesome. Action combat is at the core of the game, and ye gods, is it amazing. Bosses actually look like bosses, and even normal enemies look intimidating to newbie players. Other MMOs might start you out on sickly wolves, but TERA starts you out on ents.
Yeah, I'm gushing. I said I'm more psyched for TERA than any other game, and I meant it.

Captcha: shaken not stirred. I like this new not-captcha captcha, it doesn't make me type gibberish.

Well, even though I would like to bellow "SKYRIM" at the top of my lungs, it was released last year.
Come to think of it, I haven't bought any games this year, that actually came out this year. Not any major ones.

So, even though I would hesitate to call it a game:
Katawa Shoujo.

Because Emi. And Lily. And Hanako.

So many games coming out this year, most likely will be BioShock Infinite, as BioShock 1 and 2 are up there with the original Sonic games and the Jak and Daxter trilogy for favorite games. Although Prototype 2, Rayman Origins, and Hitman: Absolution will be a close second I reckon.

Well this year's just started so I gotta go with one from last year: Skyrim. But I like The Darkness 2 as well, and even though it's been out in the USA for ages it's only just been released here; I gotta put Catherine up there as well, I love that game.

It's a bit early and last year I wouldn't have been able to answer this question so early because it was packed with games I was looking forward to. This year doesn't have any games I'm really interested in, which haven't been released yet.
Well, now I have time to finish many games that have stayed unfinished for years or games on Steam which I haven't even installed once.

Anyway, I doubt anything will beat Mass Effect 3, maybe Guild Wars 2.

Dungeon Keeper. 'Cause sod all else has interested me so far this year so I've gone back to the oldies. Looking forward to Tomb Raider, though, and I might pick up Diablo III when it finally comes out.

God damn it, it's March. At least wait until the summer is over to ask stuff like this ffs.

As for games that I know I'm going to buy and look forward to, it's just Guild Wars 2. Not even going to get ME3 sadly.
