Sargent Avery Johnson. He survived Halo alone and he wasn't even a Spartan.
(Well, he is supposedly a Spartan- I...)

Quit prejudging us. You're not the only one who's heard of the Keyes loop. Well I gotta say the Spec ops commander (A.K.A. half jaw). He was always pretty damn awesome. He's the reason why I respect Elites.Trivun said:I'd agree, but mainly because of his role in the novels. Anyone else on this thread apart from me and Kiutu ever heard of Sigma Octanus IV? That's where it's at, baby! Oh yeah!Kiutu said:Well, most Halo 'fans' nowadays probably dont know who the hell I am talking about, but Captain Keyes is definatly one of my favorite. No, not Miranda, but her father.
(to explain, most people who say they are Halo fans are either multiplayer only people or never played the first thus would not be familiar with this Halo 1 only character)
Ahem. Anyway, yeah, Jacob Keyes. Also, probably the Arbiter (underrated, yet as seen in Halo: The Cole Protocol he has such an intersting backstory) and Cortana (she's smart, sassy and a pseudo-naked holographic hot chick. What's not to like? Ahem.).
Tartarus I think his name was. Anyway for me Arby all the way!Daveman said:brute guy from halo 2
This. Halsey has always been my favorite in the series.Erana said:Dr. Halsey
The real Cortana. Of course, we've gotta all ignore the fact that she kidnapped dosens of children in the name of science...
Fixed it for you.Defyant said:Captain Keyes was cool.Shame he died.
Really weird how he was engulfed by the flood.
Ah, fair enough. The thing was, he was an alright character, just not developed enough for my liking. As for this brutal murder...Plasma pistols at dawn?Vrex360 said:Actually from what I understand, originally he was going to be much more prominently featured but because of the angry response he got from the end results of Halo 2, Bungie reduced his role.
Plus I think the main reason he just dropped in and out whenever they felt like it was because it probably would have been difficult to have him in there as full on NPC support like Dom was in Gears of War and that players wouldn't like having him stay the whole time because again they cry about how it is 'Masterchief's story'.
Still, you requested to become an enemy of the mighty Vrex, thus you shall face the consequences with a swift brutal murder*.
*I am only semi serious about this.
Possibly... although I might deal with you the same way we dealt with the last guy who questioned the might of the Arbiter:Hybridwolf said:Ah, fair enough. I'll say Master Chief. I know, not original, but I really like the guy for some reason.
Also, convincing a bunch of six year olds that they're happy with being taken away from their families and being trained to kill isn't really that great either.
Oh come on, they weren't literally told 'you are happy now' but when they start thinking of their kidnapper as a mother figure it's not exactly emotionally healthy. They were taught a fair bit of UNSC propaganda and generally trained in a way that made them forget about their previous life.ultrachicken said:I don't recall the kids being told they're happy.Geo Da Sponge said:Except that they didn't know about the Covenant at the point the Spartan II project was starting.
