A woman named Boudica started a uprising against the Romans after, she ralied some 230.000 warriors, the Roman govenour rallyed only his own legion, parts of a second legion and whatever axularies he could get together, a total of 10.000 warriors. Boudica certain of her victory even put all the wagons into a half circle behind her troops and putted the woman and children on them. Well lets say that superiour roman technology, strategy and discipline prevailed again, after the rebels routed they were cut off by their own wagons and a lot of them mercilessly murdered by the romans, some 80.000 dead on the side of the rebels, only 400 romans died
Boudica poisoned herself after that.

I love the notion of a mighty king and kingdom reduced to a couple of pillars and a bust surrounded by sand.
On a more historically accurate note, I think it was hilarious when Caesar's troops were so sick of not getting paid that they revolted and demanded to see him before the start of the campaign in Spain. When they told him they wanted their pay, land and to be released from service, he agreed. They felt so bad about abandoning their leader they immediately begged him to let them rejoin with him. That is the power of charisma. And it is also an epic fail for the soldiers.

I believe there are around six hundred plans to assassinate Fidel Castro. Each gets more and more ludicrous, and only a few were actually attempted (and failed obviously).
