The others fall on other genres of horror but they still are horror like all of Friday the 13 movies they are slashers and slasher is a sub-genre of horror

Yes, those are sub genres, but the other Evil Dead's just seem like straight up comedy to me.

Granted, they're funny as hell, but still not horror.

28 days later. It was more of a post apocalyptic drama but given how well done it was considering its low budget and how much I grew to like the cast I think it's safe to say this is my favourite. In fact it's my fourth favourite movie of all time.

I was just in disbelief throughout that film, I mean, who goes into caves with only one way of seeing in the dark? That's like trying to murder someone with a banana.

So the scariest movie that took me 2 and a half weeks to watch is 'Dead Silence'
Friends bet me $100 that i couldn't finish it (Im not sure if it was worth it =P)

Doomsday was entertaining.

I never really got bored but I kind of realised that it wasn't very good half way through.

Have you watched "Paranormal Activity"? I rather enjoyed that one. I also liked "Hard Candy"...though still don't understand why that was considered "horror."

I think the Orphanage (el orfanato) was probably the scariest movie I've seen in a while. Personally though, my favorites would be Alien and Night of the Living Dead. The Dawn of the Dead remake was excellent too for those that haven't seen it. Also, though its not "horror" per se, Army of Darkness is one of my favorite movies of all time.
