Y'know, when someone's being a bit of a pansy or a ninny.
.
Hey I take offense to that!

Nah, just kiddin'

I know I can be a bit of one all the fucking time sometimes.

But, eh, I thought the whole monsters that are blind thing was kinda cool. Gave them a bit of an advantage
even though they all died *sadface*

I did love that director's next movie, Doomsday a lot.
Doomsday was entertaining.

I never really got bored but I kind of realised that it wasn't very good half way through.
Aw. I liked it. It was just a fun movie filled with random and quirky shit with a couple of cool death scenes thrown in.

Psycho, definitely. It's got really great suspense and scenes that make you jump. Exactly what a horror movie should have.

I've been told Ring and Grudge were scary but, MAAAAAN, they were weak as fuck.

I'll play it safe and go for this:

Rosemary's Baby is indelibly creepy, with terrifying atmosphere and phenomenal acting, not to mention the most perfect ending ever.

Exorcist III has plenty of shocking moments and is, overall, more understated and disturbing than the original.

Angel Heart is a bit dated but nevertheless is a unnerving treat, combining the best of imagery from the deep-fried South and the depths of Hell.

EDIT: Yes, I enjoy Satanic horror. Sue me.

Does "The Lost Highway" count or do I have to name something less controversially of the genre like "The Exorcist..."?

And still... the first image is going to deprive me of my sleep for a whole week now.
That second one... just a regular horror scene, nothing special if you ask me.

I'm sorry to say it, but this. I've never seen a good horror movie.

Psychological Horror: Shawshank Redemption (somewhat of a horror), Sublime(it was alright), A Clockwork Orange, The Birds (oooo...killer birdies)

Zombie: Land of the Dead (CG was bad but that one scene where Dennis Hopper kills his guard :p), Slither(eh, had it's eww moments) Night of the Living Dead (both), 28 Days Later (Yay, Doctor Who)

Monster: The Thing (head munsters)

If i have to pick one that was meant to be serious, I'll say the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween. It just did such an amazing job of making it feel like you could relate to the characters and things like that, that were missing form the original.

If I have to go for a bad one, I'd say The Creeping Terror. I can't even put into words how awesomely bad this movie is.

I've always identified with the "Lovecraftian" theme to understand and know, no matter the cost to you or those around you...

and Event Horizon is a prime example of that, not that the movie was scary, but that I identified with the villian. I mean, who doesn't want to see a realm of pure chaos?

"Where we're going, we won't need eyes..."---one of the best lines ever.

Rec (the original Spanish film) is excellent

I also liked the first 'The Descent' film
i hated the decent. i thought the endiing was realllly just, bad.

OT: idk really, the horror movies ive seen are either not scary, or too scary to be enjoyable.

Mine is the Evil dead trilogy

The first one is a very good horror flick it relies on bloodshed and chills

The second is more like an action/horror flick and the scene when Ash has a Chainsaw attach to his arm is awesome

The third is more like a horror/comedy with slapstick humor and a lot of memorable quotes

So whats your favorite horror movie/s/series/trilogy?(include images or posters if you like)

Edit:Horror doesnt mean that it has to be scary actually they are a lot of sub-genres that arent scary but they are still horror like the slasher genre and they are genres that are more comedy than horror but they still are horror
Damn you! *shakes fist* I got ninja'd

John Carpenter's in the Mouth of Madness is a truly underrated little gem. I think Sam Neill brings it up from your standard camp.
But thinking about Carpenter, I might have to go with.
Well damn, someone beat me to it, that almost never happens. Either of those two films was pretty much my pic.
Well that and the horror comedies I enjoy so much: Black Sheep, Evil Dead and Dead Alive all do a fantastic job of mixing horror and humour.

Agreed. There's a Silent Hill 2 movie coming out that I'm not looking forward to 9_9
I agree that it will suck but not all horror movies suck. go and watch the exorcist.
You're right, The Exorcist doesn't suck. It's pretty funny though ^_^ Althoug I don't think that's what they were going for ...
