AFAIK, it was Norwegian grapeshot, and the shot that hit him smack in the side of the head was a through and through...

Isn't there a legend that he was killed with a bullet made out of a coat button, by one of his officers who was sick of constant fighting? I don't know much Swedish history, but that's what I got from Carolus Rex, and a Sabaton album is as good as any history lesson. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That doesn't count.

Aww. Thought I'd stick it in there anyway, since those were some of the last words spoken by anyone at the time of death, and they really made the death hit home for me harder.

Yeah, It certainly was sad.
