Favorite melee weapon in any game (or real life?)

In video games: Baseball bats are always a favourite of mine. They are usually powerful (sometimes ridiculously so: Worms, Smash Bros.) and are always dependable.

In cinema: Scythes are the epitome of badass. They may be incredibly poor choice on the battlefield but in a one-on-one situation they provide that little extra boost of intimidation which is aces in my book.

IRL: I had this iron bar that I kept in my room that I always wanted to use on an intruder. I never did get a chance but that's still my favourite weapon that I have wielded personally.

Any good spear. Game-wise, I love all the later FF ones. Especially XI's.

personally, I guess I would have to say a bat since its the only thing Ive ever used that would be coming close to a 'melee weapon' and by using it- i mean 'play baseball'

in theory, Crowbar still seems like the coolest- probably most useful too?

Hey, that's my Japanese Officer Sword you're talking about! It won't slice through tanks, but it did end quite a few Chinese lives during the 1st Sino-Japanese and later the 2nd.
