The movie The Pest. Yes, it's super annoying but it reminds me of being little and it was just cute. Gotta love a telling of The Most Dangerous Game with the main hunted being such an annoying little shit.

I'm sure there's about a thousand games and movies I shouldn't like but I think The Pest might be among the most annoying.
vodoo mambo chilli congo old school meets latin freak I love the pest as well its a fun movie with good humour

Matrix sequels, specifically Revolutions, which I thought was a really solid conclusion to the trilogy and looked visually incredible. I'm probably the only person in this world who not only doesn't hate it, but actually enjoyed quite a bit and even experienced it in IMAX when it first came out.
I don't think anyone can argue on the visual/effects quality of the sequels. Its just that the story took a turn most people didn't like (I didn't mind it but I like me some confusing Sci-Fi). I'm jealous of you for being able to experience it in IMAX, I was too young to be able to see it in theatres.
I enjoyed the story as well. I think the reason people had a problem with it was because it was barely set in the Matrix, I guess. I didn't mind the mind-screwey or overly-philisohpical elements of the film. Isn't that what made the first film so popular in the first place?

The movie ghost writer. I know they probably got the mythos wrong on a bizzilion levels, but I loved the fights. The rider seemed to have a lot in common with Bleach characters, also ridiculously overpowered for poorly explained reasons (especially Ichigo)but no one judges them on that. (Well okay they do, but most get over it.)
Sorry, you typed in Ghost Writer. Do you mean, Ghost Writer starring Pierce Brosnan and Ewan Macgregor? [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139328/?ref_=fn_al_tt_4] Or do you mean Ghost Rider starring Nicolas Cage [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0259324/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1]?

Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.

OT: Street Fighter is a wonderful Guilty pleasure of mine. I also enjoy Dollman, but I urge anybody who hasn't seen it to see it. It is my personal Scorpion King 3. I also kind of like The Super Mario Bros. Movie, too. I also kind of like Elm Street 2, which provokes a lot of ire among Elm Street fans.

That's just me.

I liked Attack of the Clones and, I liked Revenge of the Sith (up until after the Vader/Obi Wan battle). As for guitly pleasures, I like Batman Forever and could watch Batman & Robin because of how insane it is.

When it comes to games, I really like Picross.

There's another movie...Postal. I fucking loved Postal. The theme park massacre had me on the floor laughing. This isn't a nostalgia thing either, I watched Postal months ago and have been looking for enough time to watch it again.

Star Wars: The Old Republic.
I love it, but everyone seems to hate it. Maybe I'm just partial to star wars I dunno.

Revolution.
Good fucking god I could not hate the characters any more than I already do, but I think it's a really cool setting.
It is beginning to get ridiculous with what may as well be gypsy magic though.

For videogames: Bloodrayne 2. It's definitely a guilty pleasure. Serviceable gameplay, but love the titillation of the title character. It's the kind of game that videogame feminists will point to as sexist. There should be more positive representations of women. Yet, they should stop being prudes and buzzkills about games that have sexy female characters.

This movie I have argued as the best movie released that year. I still say it's one of the best movies of all time. Sucker Punch. It seems like people just have a hard time wrapping their heads around an idea that a movie that is visually spectacular. Featuring characters like a mech samurai and zombie soldiers could have a brilliant, complex story. One theory I have about the hate is that people felt tricked by the ending. They didn't want to admit they didn't see it coming. So, they say the movie sucked to keep other people from thinking that they were dumb.

Katawa Shoujo. I don't like romance stories. I don't like anime. Visual Novels as a rule just aren't for me. 4chan scares the living bejeezus out of me. But goddamn do I love Katawa Shoujo.

Scorpion King 3 does not belong in a guilty pleasure thread. For shame.Yes, I notice all mentions of the best movie of forever. :p

OT: I'll go with Elektra, which most people list in the WORST SUPERHERO MOVIES EVER canon. Pfft. It's fun. And it looks good. When I take over Movie Defence Force -- which will totally happen and not just in my head, yes! -- that'll be one of the ones I defend. It looks good, it's action-packed, and it actually uses Jennifer Garner well, which ... almost no film ever does. So there.

It's been my experience that people really don't like Tron: Legacy. And hey it might not be the greatest movie ever but you know what, I love it. Daft Punk did an incredible job on the music and I want to live in a video game world like that and my dream house has the lights coming out of the floor not the ceiling so there.

OP; obviously it's the DOOM movie. Fuck what anyone said, that movie was awesome and a fun time. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Karl Urban and the Rock throw things at each other? It makes me happy. Very Happy.
I loved the DOOM movie. It was a fun action flick. And well I like the Rock.

Bloodrayne games are awesome what is there to not like. I remember playing the first one and seeing all the gore and dismemberment and loving it + hot as hell main character is just a bonus.

Film: Judge Dredd. The Stallone one and I'm not even slightly embarassed.

Game: Simpsons Skateboarding. I know that as far as the gameplay went it was just an inferior version of Tony Hawks but just having Simpsons characters and Springfield in the game was enough to endear me, similar story with Road Rage. Alternatively since I've seen far more people getting angry/ complaining about it on here I could go with the Last of Us, I don't think I've ever seen such a critically acclaimed/ popular game get so much stick before although perhaps I've just seen a lot of "anomalies".

I loved Starship Troopers when I was much younger. But I don't know if it's one you are "allowed" to like or not. I liked the first Transformers movie, too...

Probably the Street Fighter film, and that is because of one man- Raul Julia

An absolutely epic performance, it is just a shame it is in a film that is universally regarded as crap, but I find it fun.
agreed, and epic avatar btw!

The transformers movies.
All of them.
I really like them, and I think they're great movies. But I also want to punch mr labeouf in the puffy-cheeked face.
