A quality blunderbuss from Fable 2 combined with the ability to aim for the head. Thus, decapitation!

The companion cube, anyone who says this isn't a weapon is about to get a letter threatening to stab them.

You people should fucking praise R2's co-op. Its like Team Fortress 2. But gritter.
What did that have to do with this thread?
Also, I have to go with the Auger from Resistance.

All on this list will be put to shame by Resistance 2. Whether you think its brilliant or mediovcre, you must admit that Insomniac make some fine ass weapons. And few come cooler than The Splicer. Primary Fire shoots saw blades that deflect off the environment, cutting up everything it hits. Secondary fire lodges that saw blade in your enemies sternum, where it keeps spinning and just cuts through them.
That's hardly new, in fact aside from the part with the sawblade lodging in the enemy, it sounds exactly like the ripper from the Unreal series.

Although it's not "new" per-se I have to second the landshark gun from Armed and Dangerous.
umm....the primary fire was done ages ago by Ratchet and Clank... the secondary fire is the whole damn point of why its so special. Thats like saying "The only thing special about the Hailstorm is you can eject the remaining rounds in the gun and make them hover as a self-aiming auto-turret".
Unreal was before Ratchet and Clank, I fail to see the point you were making...in fact it seems like you went tangential. You're right that they did something unique with the secondary fire (in the way that basically it's the cereberal bore from Turok 2 only it's in the sternum and there isn't an explosion at the end if I wanted to be nitpicky), but the fact remains that it's not like a gun that shot sawblades was a new concept.

New? Sorry, no game has yet beat Armed and Dangerous- it had a grenade that flipped the world upside down and caused all your enemies to fall into the sky- and then you could deactivate it and then they'de plumet back to the ground.

It also had a gun that fired SHARKS, that swam through the EARTH, and popped out and ate enemies.
Don't forget the hallucogenic grenades and the Vindaloo curry-missile launcher.

The Negotiator from Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. I'm not even sure that game came out this year or last, all I know is that's an AWESOME name for a missile launcher.

I'm going to be put to death for saying this but I like that glyph weapon system from the latest Castlevania game. Why drag around all those swords, axes, bows and arrows and other such weapons when you can just have a glyph of said weapon your body and use that?
