I'm sure everyone's got one: A small sound that just makes your spine all tingly. I heard Shamus Young once say that about the level-up blib from the original Fallout.

Well, my spine tingle sound is the one the GBA makes when you turn it on. It reminds me of the hundreds of hours I spent on it playing Pokemon, Golden Sun, and all my other favorite old games. I turn on my GBA once in a while just to hear it. How bout you, random person who stumbled upon this thread?

Probably the victory music from Final Fantasy which has also become ingrained in my brain as 'Wow Victory Music.' thanks to deadlybossmods.

Always instils a sense of relief and victory lol.

Hyper Velocity Cannons from Warzone 2100, first time you hear one on the battlefield it's a real "what the hell was that" moment. Warzone had amazing sound effects.

The moaning roars of an enraged Big Daddy bouncer in Bioshock.

The death cry of a strider in Half Life 2.

The reaper klaxon from ME3.

The burbling growls of the monsters in Amnesia.

...

Huh. Kind of a theme there. Apparently I appreciate a good monster sound.

I love the short catchy jingles, such as the ones you'd hear from getting a powerup.

The first 30 seconds or so of this:

From the very first note I know what's coming. And it is still as awesome now as it was the first time I heard it.

Incoming Nooblord alert, the sound of change jingling when you get a last hit in LoL. Yes i'm still on that level where farming requires 100% of my concentration and oops I just missed a teamfight DX

Also the sound of anything Ezreal does ever. From the *pew* of Mystic Shot to the *whizz* of Arcane Shift and of course the manly warcry that accompanies Trueshot Barrage. This includes his quotes.

"Who needs a map?!"

"Sounds dangerous... I'm in!"

Also the old sound of Katarina's Death Lotus pre-rework. It was just the sound of death and destruction everywhere. Though I do like how she says something badass after she ults someone now.

The Crystal theme... I remember when FF3 (VI) just came out, we plugged it into the SNES and just let the thunder and lightning play along with the theme. We'd been waiting for it since 2 (IV) and for a little while just watching the opening screen was enough.

Also, the Reaper.. sound...thing? What's it called?

And Save point noises.

Also, Minecraft has music that sound like Secret of Mana and Torchlight 2 has hints of Chrono's Zeal theme as well. Those make me go tingly.

I've never even played a Final Fantasy game and that's what I register as victory music too. Really weird, actually. You think it'd be the victory jingle from Pokemon.

The "you received an item" sound from Earthbound. It's my text-received sound on my phone. It's heard at 00:48 in the below LP of Earthbound:
Unfortunately, the douche turned on the monetize option for a crappy LP no one watches, so you'd have to suffer through an ad, also he's disabled embedding....

Nevermind on the video then. It's the doo-doo-doo sound that plays when you open a present after winning a battle, or when you withdraw money out of the ATM, or when you open a present box you find on the ground etc.
