Playing guitar, playing in bands and jamming with people that sort of thing. (on a related note my guitar has a massive space invaders design down the scratch plate, which is pure, pure awesome and is a great conversation starter :p)

Heres a picture the guitar to just because I like showing off

A few years ago I had looked into the possibility of trying to finish a triathlon, Never could afford the equipment I needed to compete, nor really had the time. To some degree I'd still like to finish one.
I believe it. The running part alone is so time-consuming - I can't imagine also training for the cycling and swimming segments. Not to mention I'm still sort of skeptical on the whole idea of wetsuits. I dunno... I don't trust 'em.
The wetsuits I'd actually be glad to have. Some of the locations you swim in aren't the cleanest. Sadly, the water (in America at least) can be pretty gross.

I think some of the people who compete are either professional, or have money to burn and become professional...pretty much excluding anyone without substantial means.

A marathon sounds good...How many miles do you do at a time? Are you just going to try to finish your first time out, or have you been clocking yourself?

At the risk of getting the thread too off-topic: I'm working on a schedule similar to the one put forth in the "Penguin" books: Run three times a week, one of which is a long run, and the other days cross-train. I like it because a) I don't have to run every day, and b) aside from my long run, I never have to exercise more than 60 minutes at a time (excluding cooldown, warmup, stretch, etc). I only started training a month ago, so my long runs are only at 7 miles so far, but I have plenty of time. All the races I'm considering are all five or six months away.

The goal for this first one is just to finish, with the extra but less important goal of maintaining an 11 min/mile pace. I might be slow, but I'll get there eventually. :)

Volvos. Drifting. Drifting Volvos. Cars of all kinds, rally racing, road course racing and gymkhana.

Outside of cars my hobbies are Fencing (both classical European and Kendo/jutsu), reading, airsoft, shooting (Ive been shooting for years, but have never owned my own gun), and photography.

Well, photography is really something Im aspiring to do for work... so Im not sure if it counts as a pure hobby.

I'm big on anime and manga. Can't go wrong with just relaxing to some good music, either.

Skiing, if there's snow on the ground, you can be sure I'll be on some random mountain living it up.

Outside of skiing I also go mountain biking, hiking and swimming during the summer months to keep myself occupied.

Cycling (though I broke a spoke this weekend - third one on the same wheel, but I don't have $300 for a new wheel set) doing massive, noncompetitive bike rides (60+ miles), reading good classic literature and modern, intelligent humor and scientific journals for the masses (Scientific American, Discovery, etc), as well as Electronic Gaming Monthly.
TV plays a pretty small role, maybe 1-2 hours per week but less than 5 (excluding video games). Dance Dance Revolution - even though it's game related - I've been looking at getting in better shape on bad weather days with my new Christmas-fresh DDR game. Spending time with my lovely girlfriend and having high-minded conversations with friends that vacillate wildly from the properties of supercooled helium to the calculus of toilet humor also rank highly on my list.
Writing occasionally and making (game) maps in the Hammer World Editor (Source engine).

Nothing like a good game of rugby and a few beers with mates while watching movies/cricket/rugby afterwards! ;)
