Was gonna pick that one too, for it's sheer WTF value.AgentNein said:Eraserhead
Other favourites include Bicycle Thieves, an Italian neo-realist film made in 1948 which I somehow found incredibly captivating, and Clerks for it's awesome dialogue.

Those are just the ones I had on me. Another good one is Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter.Boba Frag said:Outstanding list, I've seen them all apart from Chaos Theory.MajWound said:The Wind that Shakes the Barley- a tight-as-balls story about the Irish civil war
Moon- a guy lives on the moon and learns the horrifying secret about why he's there
Chaos Theory- Ryan Reynolds' life is destroyed so he decides to let chance dictate his every action
Sunshine- a team of scientists fly a spaceship to the sun to jump-start it with a bomb the size of Manhattan
Moon and Wind that Shakes the Barley are personal favourites.
It's a remake of a Norwegian movie about the indigenous people of northern Norway around 1000AD, and as usual the American remake is pure crap in comparison. So, if you liked the Pathfinder of 2007, you should effin Love the Pathfinder of 1987Lesd3vil said:Very few people I know have ever seen or heard of Pathfinder... Might not be obscure enough for you, but it was an enjoyable enough action-adventure with vikings vs american indians

IDo you mean Poltergeist?webepoop said:Awesome movie, the close ups on the faces were creepy thoughLobsterFeng said:That's a tough question seeing as most of my favorite movies are generally popular. I like it because it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The humor is extremely dry though, so it's not for everyone.
I guess, most recently, poultrygeist is my favorite obscure movie. I don't know how to explain it, although it is EXTREMELY profane. I wouldn't recommend watching this after eating.

I agree. Well, on Mullholland Dr. at least. I haven't seen Blue Velvet, I couldn't stomach Inland Empire and Eraserhead was just painful.AgentNein said:I'm a huge huge David Lynch fan.
If you've got a tolerance for movies that don't make immediate sense, go pick up a copy of
Eraserhead
Blue Velvet
Mullholland Dr.
Inland Empire
Yeah, obscure's debatable. With that said, asking anyone about Dune or Twin Peaks these days and it almost guaruntees lots of "huh?"s. And as arguably popular as Twin Peaks was, or as high profile as Dune was, I don't think they drew TOO much light to his other movies.plugav said:Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde [http://youtu.be/Hte7R1TVgBY] (1971). No, not a comedy - a horror film. And yes, it's as bad as it sounds. I love old Hammer productions.

Would you call him obscure, anyway? I thought he was pretty famous after Dune and Twin Peaks.
