It use to be before Black and white came out, I would say Pokemon Blue was my favourite but now after much thought, I've decided that Pokemon Black is my favourite.

I love the areas and battle systems.

I actually like the new generation well not all of them.

The soundtrack is one of the best pokemon soundtracks I've ever heard.

I enjoyed the villians and overall plot of the game.

Finally I love some of the npc quotes that were said, especially this one.

"Life is a serious battle and we have to use the tools we are given. It is more important to master the cards in your hand, rather than complain about the ones your opponents were given....let us begin, contests like this are proof that your really living."

(Grimsely of the Elite four, before you begin your fight with him.)
The music was amazing, I LOVED some of the stuff N said, But it was too easy, And they shouldve stopped making Fire/Fighting starters after Blaziken. Because really, Blaziken was the best. besides Charizard

Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. I feel that it had a really really good plot, I liked all of the starters, and they were the most innovative of all of the games. Double battles, contests, battle frontier, not too many retarded looking pokemon, and I think everyone has to agree here, FREAKING SWEET LEGENDARIES. Actually, you dont have to agree, that was just me being cocky...
I agree with you. I'm sure most people's favorite game is 1st generation, but for some reason my version of Sapphire kept me entertained for way longer than Blue.

Too bad my sister deleted my save when I was 10-ish pokemon short of a complete pokedex :(
And I agree with you two too!

i like the original games, mainly because i like the original pokemon, for example red, blue, green. The sole purpose of this is i like the first three starters, i dont really know why but some reason i really dislike the new pokemon, there is one however that i do like, in the newest games, and that is the black legendary from pokemon white, #646 Kyurem, as it looks really awesome and i generally like dragon-electric type, although the shiny sprite does not look good

I like Pokemon ranger: shadows of almia because I felt it had a lot more story to it than the main pokemon series and it felt like I was doing something during battles than just inputting commands. If it has to be one of the main series of Pokemon games I would have to go with silver/crystal. It allowed you to explore both the regions available at the time, which made the game world seem massive (which I loved). There also weren't too many pokemon to catch to make the game impossible, that and the time capsule system allowed you to complete your pokedex if you owned red/blue/yellow (which I did).

Country
UK
1 Gold/ Silver (Improvement over Red/ Blue added breeding, night and day features and returing to Kanto).
2 Diamond/ Pearl (Had some cool new Pokemons and many other features)
3 Black and White (Tweaking it so it feel like red/blue era as in using only the 150 new Pokemons but also adding some new kinks to it.

Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. I only look back at pokémon games with nostalgia, not love, there are far better turn based games out there, and I don't like most in the first place. This and coliseum moved the games closer to other Turn based games... albeit, still 20 years behind, but closer. Catching a pokémon while it was of trainer difficulty, catching being the only challenging thing in the game, while fighting off the other trainers' pokémon and taking shadow damage from the shadow pokémon was pretty good. the last fight especially; with multiple shadow pokémon, it was much more fun, but with the last fight, one could vary the difficulty, from nuking the whole squad to trying to catch all of them, which I thought was somewhat innovative, tactical, and fun.
