Both Golden Sun games (the only JRPG's I've ever completed!)
KoTOR 1
Dragon Age: Origins
Mass Effect 1 & 2 (2 came out in 2010 - does that still count?)
And Pokemon Silver. Or maybe Soul Silver. Or both!

Morrowind was my favorite rpg this decade. In terms of immersion and story it is unparaleled for me. The combat was a bit lackluster, but once your character is more diverse and powerful it became exciting. Other than that I really enjoyed the mass effect games, but I think the second had a rather shitty story compared to the first, it had great characters and everything but the main story arch didn't really progress.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant My favorite RPG of all time as well.
Odin Sphere
Demon's Souls
Resonance of Fate
Paper Mario

I really want to play Mass Effect (and Fable) but my computer sucks and I don't own a 360. :(

In no real order.

Deus Ex 1.
Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind.
KOTOR 1.
Mass Effect 1+2
Jade Empire.
Fallout 3.

Basically anything Bioware touches is Golden.

In no particular order:

Golden Sun & Lost Age
Fallout 3
Mass Effect 1 & 2
KotOR 1 & 2
FFX
Tales of Symphonia
Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis
Oblivion

I haven't played a whole lot of RPGs (especially the Persona games), but I'm planning on starting Persona 3 though in the near future.

Any other recommendations would be helpful.

I absolutely don't see the all this greatness people are seeing in Dragon Age...

Luminous Arc (Both of them!) "Our stones of brotherhood are the source of our power! - Luminous arc 1" Think that quote is right, can't remember just laughing so hard at that I dropped the DS!

Grandia 2
Bioshock (its essentially an RPG)
Dragon Age
FF X
Disgaea
Metal Gear Solid 2
Dark Chronicle

I am not putting any ports on, but I played Chrono Trigger and FFIV for the first time in the last 10 years.

Bound to think of more, I have never played a Persona game in my life and want to rectify that as soon as possible!

Chrono Cross

Seriously. Fuck Trigger. This game had the best twist ever. You know the twist if you played it.
Two thumbs up for that one! I played through both games and think Cross is better then Trigger. And it continues to enrage the Devotees of Chrono

OK, here we go with my list (no particular order):

- Persona 3+4
- Shadow Hearts 1+2
- Knights of the Old Republic
- Mass Effect 1+2
- Dragon Age: Origins (though it took me quite some time to get into it)
- Digital Devil Saga
- Lost Odyssey (shut up, it's all that FF12 was not)

I could go on for quite some time if I was allowed to name games from before 2000...

Concerning Lost Odyssey. I liked everything but the combat. The story, the thousand of dreams especially! Best. Storytelling. Ever.

I don't mind turn based, but that just moved REALLY slowly.

And my biggest issue with FF12 was the license board...
