Age of Empires: Greeks, I loved the Academy units and uber navies

Starcraft: Protoss, I really liked Dark Archons and Carriers

Age of Empires II: British, loved their archers

Age of Mythology: Either Ouranoes or Zeus. I loved the Greek Myrmidons and plenty vaults, but Atlantis had a better turtle and awesome villagers. Plus, everyone could become a hero.

Rome: Total War: Carthage, with a bit of work, they were freaking rich, and once I modded archers for them... Game over for Rome.

Rome: Extended Greek Mod: Greeks, go figure, but I loved how balanced their rosters became, with Hypatasts as a normal infantry, starting with a Spartan Royal Guard and the ability to recruit archers. Making the Aegean one of the richest regions in the game didn't hurt either.

Medieval II: British, I REALLY like archers in the Total War games, and beating up the French is always fun.

Starcraft II: Terran, I just can't say no to Siege Tanks and my love for Battle Cruisers. Thors and Banshees were just the icing on the cake.

Empire: Total War: Prussia, hands down. I swap to a Republic early and then wound up beating the long campaign 50 years early. Also managed to own South America/Caribbean, own parts of Eastern/Central India, All of Western Europe, parts of North Africa, and allowed Ireland to revolt, giving them the British Isles. First time I actually had the patience to finish a campaign in a Total War game in years.

Shogun II: Haven't had a chance to play enough, but I really enjoyed the Hojo and Chosokabe.

Indeed. I kinda prefer SupCom 2 UEF over SupCom 1, though, because they have a artillery piece for every occasion in 2 (Short range, medium range, long range, strategic and an experimental artillery piece that shoots units. Who needs factories when you have an artillery piece that SHOOTS TANKS?).

it seems to me that dose make them superior as they can do all the stuff you just said.... just saying.

Napoleon Total War - England again. "Hearts of oak are our ships."

Rome: Total War - Seleucids. Phalanxes, elephants, cataphracts, legionaires. They've got it all.
Medieval: Total War - France. Nothing better than a good heavy cavalry charge.
Warcraft III - Undead Scourge. They just seem like the most streamlined and easy handling faction.
Red Alert 2 - Soviets. Apocalypse Tank FTW.
Homeworld - Kushan. Drone Frigate reporting.

Cybrans from supreme commander because...They have a giant spider tank that shoots frickin lasers out of it's frickin head! Seriously, it's like a bad-ass crossover between wild wild west and star wars.

Tarkas from Sword of the Stars because they have cool looking ships.

Tau from 40k because, they have gundams for commanders.

Total Anhilation - Core - Because a nation run by AI collective consciousness is cool

I'm sure there are others but these are just off the top of my head, out of these Total Anhilation is my favorite game by far, with RTW probably a close second.

I was beginning to worry that TA wasn't gonna get any love in this thread, give me either side, TA's factions could wipe the floor with any faction from any RTS game easy.

Shogun 2: Ikko Ikki. Rebelling provinces turn to your side? Awesome. And they've got badass monk and ashigaru units too. Nothing like watching 10 units of Ikko Ikki ashigaru just decimate the enemy because you they cost less and there are more of them in a unit (180 to 160, etc.)

imagine them with the Darth Mod extra units mod

im gunna download the Ikko Ikki DLC after my Chosakabe campaign

could you tell me where they start?

O.T. i dont think i am qualified to answer as i have only played Shogun 2 and only done 2 campaigns, but i plan on getting a lot more strategy games
