Favorite Smash Bros. Character?

Melee: Peach.
She was just an ass-kicking in a dress! You could hover over long distances, her smashes were nothing but brutal, and if you picked enough turnips you pulled out a laser sword. It's too bad they nerfed the hell out of her in brawl.

Brawl: King Dedede.
Hammer!! He may be slow and have long cool down between attacks, but his dodging ability was unparalleled. There was no cool down between dodges. I actually dodged Mario's entire final smash with him. His recoverability is fantastic, especially with his up+b. He also has so much raw power in his attacks and his throws. It makes it easy to break that smash ball. His final smash is so damn awesome! My roommates feared me when I glowed; they could do nothing but cower! Needless to say, I like King Dedede.

Melee only. Captain Falcon for his awesome speed, awesome taunt, over-powered knee, stomp and one of the most iconic video game moves ever, FALCON PUUUNNNCCH! In your face

Kirby, hands down. He's quick, strong, and almost impossible to throw off the edge with his floating jumps and Final Cutter. He's a proper aerial ace! I've always been a Kirby-player since the first SSB.
Still don't get why I love Kirby? Fine, watch and be amazed from what an amateur can do.

Link and pikachu, also loved fox on the n64 version, and also captain falcon. i hope the wiiu gets better online playy than the wii had, tryed to play some games vs a guy i only know over the internet and it was laggy as shit (even though both of us had good internet) my wii just seemed to not be able to handle it, which is a shame. also lagging on super smash bros does not really work that well. his favorite characters was the ice climbers and king dedede. Hated to play as both of those.

maaaan now i wanna play ssb. : p gonna whip out my n64 when i get home in the summer and own some friends.

Also i would totally by a remake of the SSB for n64 if they added internet play that worked. love that game sooo bad.

I've only played it at friend's houses but my favorite character is the obviously best Solid Snake.

In Melee, Yoshi.
I love to try and swallow others and have them helplessly falling of the cliff trapped inside an egg.
Also, I tend to play somewhat of a kamikaze Yoshi: diving into a set of bombs when people try to pick them up.

There's nothing more satisfying than beating three friends going after you specifically, after they laughed at you for picking Kirby. Spitting the last one out of your mouth off the side of the level and laughing was very satisfying. Not sure if I'm odd, but for the most part Kirby has been my favorite Nintendo character. He's so adorable, but so sickening. He eats people and absorbs their abilities, then looks all cute because he now has a sword and a helmet. But damn, a little pink puffball beating Samus, Bowser, and Captain Falcon. That's a tough little marshmallow.

Have to say, in both the smash bros games i've played (AKA Mellee and Brawl) I always had a fondness for Zelda.

I love Dedede, Ganondorf, and Bowser in the Brawl-Minus Mod of SSBB...

But without that, they suck. And in that case, I'd choose Sonic, Wolf, or Marth.
