Never played the original

In SSBM it was a tie between Falco and Luigi. Falso was so damn fast but Luigi is so damn unpredictable and his chop will murder you outright!

In SSBB, Luigi again all the way. His chop is less powerful but he still kicks ass. Anytime I pick him in the character selection screen - If the person Im playing hasnt played me before, they're laughing their heads off that Id pick him. If they have, the complain and ask me to pick someone else cus they know whats gonna happen ;) Also his final smash in unmerciful!! HIPPY DANCE OF DEATH!!

Brawl: Lucario. Don't look at me like that, he's awesome. I especially like his hidden ability. That coupled with his agility, surprisingly heavy weight, and wicked counter move... plus his Final Smash can literally sweep everyone off the stage and hold them there if used properly for guaranteed, multiple KO's. Ike, Link, DeDeDe, and Captain Falcon round out my top 5.

Melee: Bowser. Again, shut up. I was unstoppable as Bowser in Melee, and his butt slam was ridiculously powerful. His recovery was never that good, but he's designed specifically not to be thrown or smashed. Kirby, Samus, Roy, and Zelda fill in the top 5.

64: Captain Falcon. Dude was the epitome of secret characters: ridiculously fast, terribly powerful (Fal-cone Pawnchh!), and insane recovery. Other top 5: Link, Samus, Kirby, and Jigglypuff.

Link. I personally think he is one of the strongest characters (and none of my friends agree with me on this) by virtue of his Down+A and offensive recovery. And the bombs are pretty sweet.

Oh, and Pikachu- All throughout the original, I'd use him religiously, and it stuck. Directional jump+Down+B especially made him a viable opponent to any character.

When I was at my best at Brawl, my best was Lucario. His range is just a little bit longer than it feels like it would be, and his attacks persist just half a second longer than the opponent expects. He's also really agile with the height of his second jump, his up-B. There's his near-worthless counter, of course, but I can live without a down-B in exchange for his smash attacks.

My first love in Brawl was Meta Knight. He's so cute and badass, and I just devoted myself to learning how to rock with him. I loved his speed, lack of downtime, and the ease of his running grab and make-your-target-go-somewhere-random-really-fast combo. His smash attacks are pretty sweet, too, with the speed they go out at. You have to be close to hit with him, but it's rewarding when you do. I don't own a Wii, by the way. I played with friends. My one friend's Wii now has Meta Knight as the highest-accuracy character at an average of 45%.

Then there's Ike... Most kills with Ike, but he's too easy. Just stand in one place, dodge projectiles and wait for someone to come close to you and smack them off the screen. The only character I couldn't beat with him was the Zero Suit Samus one of my hardcore Asian friends played... Ow. Chain grabs, punches over cliffs and then meteor smashes with her down-B=>A combo out of no where.

I never got to play much Melee, but my favorite was Mewtwo. Not because I was good with him. Just because he was **********ing Mewtwo.

Ness! He's just fantanstic. I love pulling out the baseball bat for a satisfying finisher, and zapping people back down as they try to jump for safety.

Pit because he is cheap as hell.
Pit made me very very sad :( Not only did he have a powerful but also spammable GUIDED arrow attack, but he had several close range attacks that could be spammed and tended to cancel out counter attacks (i.e. You falcon punch, pit spins his swords a moment later and it cancels your attack and sends you flying)

Original: Captain Falcon and Link

Melee: Sheik (exclusively Sheik, I hate Zelda) and Mewtwo

Brawl: Toon Link, Marth, and Pokemon Trainer, simply because when you special brawl tiny, then get a poison mushroom as charizard, the cuteness overloads the game ^^

In the original, Kirby was by far my favorite. Rock Shield and Cutter always did the job for me.

Since the original, I've mained Link in the next two games. Mainly because I like his character the best, but also because he can do some plain awesome things (double smash, his in-air downward thrust, and BOMBS).

Melee: Link i could take on 3 lvl ten AI without dying once
Brawl: Roy i would just destroy with his charged sword attack
Yeah... You have some issues there buddy.
1. You can't have level 10 computers, the highest they go up to is 9
2. Roy isn't in Brawl...
3. I really doubt you could kill 3 level 9's (or 10's as you put it) without losing a life if you didn't know the previous 2 facts.

Anyway, on topic now.

64: Luigi, don't know why but he just seemed to work for me.
Melee: Fox and later on Dr. Mario.
Brawl: Kirby and to a lesser degree, Fox.
