the man was so chill yet so awsome, and his green lightsaber was awsome
and if it hadnt have been for him, the whole series wouldn't have existed
cos he wouldnt have trained obi wan, and they wouldnt have flown to tantooine
and anikin wouldnt have come with them and met padme and turned evil cos he
loved her and so luke wouldnt have been born and it would be horrible :'(

Han Solo, no question. His journey from self indulgent smuggler to a leader in the fight for freedom was a lot of fun to watch. Plus he speaks like, 10,000 alien dialects. How cool is that?

My favorite is Wedge.

Now for a point of interest. I lifeguard at a waterpark and one of my favorite questions to ask the little kiddies while they're waiting to go down a slide is "What's your favorite SW character?"

Astoundingly over 70% say Anakin, the other 30% say Yoda, and out of the literally hundereds of kids I've asked, I have never gotten an answer other than Anakin or Yoda.

Damn, I don't think I can pick just one... I guess I'll go with either of the classic choices, Darth Vader or Boba Fett (ignoring their stupid little kid incarnations in the new trilogy).

But there are a ton of awesome characters... I'll randomly pick one: Nien Nunb (this guy [http://www.irtguild.net/cobb/nien_nunb.jpg]), Lando's co-pilot during the battle above Endor. I like him because he's a totally random side character, but somebody actually took the time to give him a name and a backstory. I could say the same for a bunch of other characters. That's one of the things I love about Star Wars - it's so rich and detailed.

My brother like Anakin as well. You gotta remember that's what they grew up (while we grew up on the first trilogy) and they're to young to realise how bad a character he is.

killed him off. He was one of the best lightsaber duelists the Jedi had ever produced, and pussified soon-to-be Vader just up and cuts off his hand. I know he was caught off-guard, but still. He deserved an ending that was a thousand times more heroic and badass.

I'm not sure why I spoiler tagged, maybe there's like one person out there among the gamer demographic that hasn't seen all the movies or something. Actually, I wouldn't blame anyone for not watching Episodes 1-3...
