Pretty simple thread, What's your favorite Team Fortress 2 achievement (not original) weapon. My personnel favorite would have to be Heavy's K.G.B or Sandvich. I don't play heavy that much, but those are just cool.

"Jarate"!
I don't really have many, so I'm gonna go with the Flare Gun. I can't aim well with it, so it's satisfying when I actually hit someone.

I love the Cloak and Dagger. The more I use it, the more I think the game should've shipped with this watch instead of the default.

I also really like the Huntsman. It adds a new role to the Sniper class, and I've been playing him more because of it.

I'll tell you what my least favourite is: the Dead Ringer. Christ is that thing annoying. I don't use it, but when an enemy does and you have to scour around to re-kill them it gets really aggravating. It feels like it shouldn't work 100% of the time.

But I guess the Sandvich is my favourite.

Even though the standard Invisibility Watch requires more delicate movement and planning, rather than 'run twenty yards, wait ten seconds, repeat ad nauseaum'? I can't stand the Cloak and Dagger, but that's probably because I play an anti-Engi spy, rather than a backstab-happy killjoy.

On the topic of the Huntsman, it's in desperate need of a nerf. A Huntsman arrow has a massive hit radius, and being in that massive hit radius is an instant death for a lot of lower-health classes (Scout, Spy; my two classes). Add to that the fact that the Huntsman's headshot-range is far larger than a standard Sniper Rifle bullet, and the Huntsman has a few issues with it. Granted, it lacks the accuracy and anti-Heavy-Medic power of the Sniper Rifle, but both of those are easily countered by expertise.

A noob with the Huntsman is an easy target. A decent sniper with the Huntsman is nigh-unstoppable.

I would have to say my favorite TF2 Unlockable would be the Ubersaw, simply because it's one of the few true 'upgrades' in the game. I've yet to meet someone who would choose the Bonesaw over the +25%/hit Ubersaw.

Why would you run with the C&D for anything other than getting away or getting through a high traffic area quickly? It's also perfect for taking out engineers. You can wait near his stuff without being close enough to use his dispenser forever if you need to.

Once you're in the 'base' of an enemy with the C&D, you're there for life. The chance of them finding you is rather small and that's perfect for taking out engineers.

Edit: Anyway, I play sniper and spy and my favorite two so far are the C&D and Huntsman. I do agree about the Huntsman though. It's broken to the point where I apologize for hitting people with it when it should have missed =\.

We must be playing different servers/styles then. I tend to play on Payload maps, where people are always nice enough to have a Pyro spy checking everything. Therefore, you have to get in, get down, get out. The Cloak and Dagger's slow recharge time, combined with the fact that you can't pick up ammo kits (LOVE the Ammo Kit pickup for the I.W.) make it so that it's difficult to escape, especially when your meter is already low. I understand the merits of the C&D... it just doesn't fit my style.

Thank you for understanding, however, that the Huntsman broke snipers.

The huntsman. With the old sinper rifle I couldn't get any kills, but with the huntsman being close range and shooting fast, it has made sniping easier. It being slightly broken also helps.

I don't like the idea of an "upgrade" item... I'd rather have the weapons be more interesting or just act differently than the basic weapon, instead of just being better, and therefore making players who have the items play better than the players without them. Especially now that weapons are recieved by luck.

You can still get all the weapons via achievements. That's how I got my BONK! Atomic Punch, even though I got the game after the launch of the Spyper patch.

Well, the Ubersaw does have it's negatives; it's attack speed is 25% slower than the Bonesaw, kind of like the Killing Gloves of Boxing.

But I agree, I much prefer the weapons that give you a different play style. I mean, as overpowered as the Force-A-Nature is, it really is vital to give you the edge in some situations. I usually stick with my Scattergun, meself.

Throwing Jarate into a group of people and then getting about 6 assist kills is very entertaining I must admit. Although I can't deny how fun it is to use the Cloak and Dagger.
