It seems not. The word "troll" is synonymous with "person I dislike" to most people.

On topic, I have never been called anything special by a troll because I am not dumb enough to be drawn in by one.

I've been called a troll by a troll many times for having an intelligent argument. A troll in my book is someone who posts hateful and/or ignorant comments for the purpose of attention, negative or positive, I believe. There are several species of internet troll, too.

The guy next to me was whistling, and he always does whatever I ask him to stop doing. The main one that comes to mind is when I ask him to stop calling it an iTouch.
A few weeks back, he was whistling during an exam. Not to be a jerk of anything, but I asked him stop whistling and shut the fuck up.

While playing HL2 Deathmatch, which is apparently only played by trolls, small children, and complete assholes: Jewbag! Not only completely nonsensical, but hilarious because I am Jewish. I told him this, he told me I was going to hell for killing Jesus, and then I spent the rest of the match gleefully describing how I personally ordered a hit on Jesus and how awesome and comfortable it was in Hell.

OT: I've never really been trolled because I used to be one myself, I stopped when I realized it was a waste of time, and I can pick up on signs that people are trying to troll me.

I don't play online. I would if 1: I had an Xbox or capable computer or other console with me, and 2: I would be confident that I wouldn't be trolled.

I have been called many things by other trolls. My favorite was something along the lines of "dumbass retard?et cetera" You know the drill. One of those really long drawn out ones that are basically the signal of a very intrepid troll. The more adjectives there are, the funnier it is.
