Favorite Video Game "Theme Song"

The first Super Mario Brothers and Tetris theme are still my all time favourites.

Honourable mentions go to Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, FF8 and F-ZERO themes.

Also one of my favorites, and one that took me months to find on the internet, is the version of Franz Schubert's Ave Maria used in Hitman: Blood Money. I mean, it's just awesome to see 47 in the last part of the game with that playing over him.

Halo Theme [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rIUVSjlwdU] <- Yeah, that isn't the "clean" version, but instead the Mjolnir Mix. Which is made of epic win. But as Dense_Electric said, the music in Halo is great. It is almost like the music reflects how good the game is supposed to be in the minds of all the fanboys. I like Halo, but I like the books a lot more.

Which of those two theses are this for your post. There were two of those that could be conceivably that, unless you were going to group both of them into one mega this.

I really loved Eyes on Me from Final Fantasy 8(I like power ballards), and Still Alive from Portal and Mirror's Edge (I find the Portal song to be amusing, and the Mirror's Edge song reminds me of a band which I really like called The Corrs). I don't like it as much as the others but Lullaby for You from The World Ends with You was good as well.

For me, it has to be the Metal Gear Solid 1 music (Especially 'Escape'), it's very nostalgic for me. I like Metal Gear Solid 3 & 4 music too.
