From Mechwarrior's mechs, I liked the Thanatos [http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/9/8528/57217.jpg] and Fafnir the most.

Thanatos ain't bad. Kinda underarmed for a heavy Mech, but faster and with good jump capacity. Personally I'd drop the MRM-20 (f**k I hate the MRMs) and put an LRM or SRM in its place, but still not a bad mech, good electronics on it.

Now the Faffy... THERE's a mech that demands respect. Especially the Heavy-Gauss varient. Doesn't f**k around, it has one purpose and does it to the best of its ability.

I've always liked the single-minded mechs. Fafnir, Hunchback, Nova, Warhawk, and of course the Viking.

Try telling me THIS [http://www.chaosmarch.com/images/mechs/viking.jpg] ain't a god amongst mechs.

Two LRM-15's, Two LRM-20's, both with the Artemis IV system for added boomdikasa. 2 small lasers and 4 machine guns to fend off elementals or infantry, and we have a bonafide Missile Boat boys and girls.

Modification (or perhaps, heavy upgrade?) of the Catapult model?

I really like the Manta from Unreal Tournament 2004 and Unreal Tournament 3. There's something about a fast, agile hovercraft that can outrun anything and jump a hundred feet into the air.

I know it's been said alot but the warthog is so much fun to slide around in halo.
most fun is the arwing (sp) from starfox 64 best arcade flying game by far

Obscure: The various tanks in Battletanx and it's sequel. Of particular note would be the Mototank, the huge Goliath, the bizarre yet fun 'Flip-E' tank and the Hornet, which can fire twin rockets on curving trajectories. I liked that each tank had a unique ability besides it's structure and speed.

Non-Obscure: The King of Red Lions from Zelda. Some complain you did it too often, but intuitive powerup combinations made sailing fun for once. Much better than just turning Navi into a boat.

I would like to say the Hornet. But the amount of times I've been killed by someone using it leaves me no choice but to hate the thing with a vengeance.

If I had to pick a Halo 3 vehicle I'd probably go with the Prowler, since it's a spiky version of the Warthog (except with an extra seat)

In most games I'll opt for the "on foot" option where possible, so that limits my choices somewhat.

But once again I love Russian tanks and helicopters, especially the Mi24 (or Hind)
That is an awesome helicopter.

Also, the Crackdown Supercar. Traffic isn't a problem if it is flying off your bonnet and into the wreckage behind you!
