The laser sword in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. Or the feather sword. Electric guitar was a fun weapon from that game.

The Stoner 63 LMG from Metal Gear Solid 3. Even though it was a pretty shitty weapon, Snake lets out an epic Rambo yell after you've fired off the first few shots.

The SAW, Displacer, Shockroach and Spore Launcher from Half Life: Opposing Force. OpFor is one of the best expansion packs ever; every bit of it was just a bit better than the game it built on. All the new guns felt and sounded fun as hell.

The Can o' Boom from Teleglitch. A box of nails and some RDX explosive packed into an empty ration can. Sounds like a parking lot full of cars backfiring at once, and clears a room like a street sweeper.

Dishonorable mention goes to the Heavy Rifle from Deux Ex: Human Revolution. Basically: it's a shitty minigun. The whole POINT of spinning barrels is to keep the gun from overheating. That's why the M134 minigun exists. The heavy rifle in this game fires 5.56 rounds, a smaller bullet with less powder, less kick, and therefore less heat than the 7.62 mm rounds fired by the 20 year old M134 minigun today, which can fire 4000 rounds per minute without overheating. The Heavy Rifle can fire 50 rounds before overheating. That's insane. It holds 100 rounds before upgrading. That's INSANE. A modern machine gun that doesn't overheat nearly as quickly, like the M240, holds THAT MANY or MORE. The heavy rifle in this game is HUGE, STUPID, and in every way worse than machine guns that are 20 or more years old right now ...

... but I'm not bitter.
