Favorite Voice Acting

I've been playing more and more games these days that have exceptional voice acting, and was just curious as to what everyone elses favorites might have been.

We have the obvious choices, like Nolan North doing effing everything in the last three years to David Keith doing everything else to big-name people like Patrick Stewart doing roles in Oblivion and the new Castlevania.

Also, out of curiosity, how many people knew about Black Ops amazing voice acting cast before the game came out? I mean, Sam Worthington is the main character, Ed Harris plays Hudson, Reznov is played by Gary Oldman, Ice Cube as Bowman, and Robert Picardo as Robert McNamara. Did Activision even advertise that casting (beyond Ice Cube)? Because that's effing off the chain!

Just sayin'.

Anyways, back on-topic. Who are your favorite voice actors, and what games do you like them best for?

I am not sure of his name, but my favorite voice acting has to be the guy who played TOM on Toonami.

He has done a few video games and multiple animes.

He was Spike from Cowboy Bebop and Muugen from Samurai Champloo.

I am blanking on the game he starred in though...

Dawn of War Series hands down. 3 Brothers voice the Space Marines throughout the series and they're my favorite. Outside of games it changes though...

RTSs can have fantastic voice acting.

You're thinking of Steve Blum, he's done a TON of work. I actually saw a panel with him and Beau Billingslea (Jet from Bebop) at ACEN a couple years ago was pretty good.

One of my favorites is Ali Hillis who does Lightning from FFXIII and Liara from ME.

Also, if Ron Pearlman could narrate every video game I played that would be pretty awesome.

Steve Blum is the actor you're talking about, and he's been in so many things, and is pretty good in all of 'em. He's even the one calling everyone dicktits in the Bulletstorm trailer.

RTSs can have fantastic voice acting.

Relic sure knows how to find gritty war voices, Company of Heroes are fantastic and most times the chatter are downright hilarious.

Other than Company of Heroes I'll have to say that Grim Fandango has the most impressive voiceacting I've ever heard.

Kane was always good in Command and Conquer.

Is the topic great voice actors? Games with great voice acting? Or voice acting that was noteworthy because of the quality?

Jennifer Hale, almost the female equivalent of Nolan North in that she has been in pretty much everything. The guy who voiced Kratos in God of War, if you ever see him he is a really laid back looking guy who just has that mad man's sound come out of him. Ezio Auditore in Assassin's Creed too, he really sounded real, a proper character not just the lines on the page.

I loved all of the voice actors in both the KoTOR games, except Mission (but we don't speak that name around here no more), she could go piss up a rope and die for all I cared. Carth was maybe a bit too whiney but GOTO, HK-47, Canderous and Bastila were brilliant.
