Favorite WTF is that? moment in gaming.

Okay, I have two from Zelda. First, Ocarina of Time. I was running around the Well, and about 10-12 or so at the time. Everything was goin' all right (even though the ReDeads were creeping me out, those almost qualify for this) when I wander into a room that I recognize as a miniboss room. The god damn Dead Hand shows up. My thought process was as follows: "Cool. Wonder what I'll be fighti---OH JESUS FUCK WHAT IS THAT THING OH GOD IT'S GOT ME OH JESUS NOOOO"

Second example: The Music Box House basement in Majora's Mask. I almost had a heart attack when I opened the closet and the half-mummy guy flung himself out at me.

Also, the very first Straitjacket/Lying Figure in Silent Hill 2 and the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus got me too.

The first encounter with a berserker in Gears 1 really freaked me out good.

In RE2 when the zombies bust through the windows with their arms and grab you.

In RE1 when the dogs jump through the windows got me really good a long with the zombies that play dead.

Ok, this applies to the 1st two bosses I found on "I Wanna Be The Guy."

For the first one, there is a thump. 5 seconds later, another thump, and a star falls off of the background and breaks. Finally, there is a third thump, and the Punch Out theme starts playing.

Up rises none other than MIKE TYSON.

I just went "WTF Mike Tyson!? What are you doing being giant!?"

Next boss. You drop into a room, and land on this egg shaped missile. As you hope onto a second egg missile, the enemy comes into view from the right. It's MECHA BIRDO!!!

I WANNA BE THE GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUY!

That was a pretty WTF moment.

SH3 in the mirror room in nightmare hospital....I was scared for a good 20 min after that.

Yeah that freaked me out to.

I'll also say the moment in SH3 involving the fetus eating, 'nuff said.
