Left 4 Dead (too bad Valve actually decided against linking the campaigns together as they had originally intended).

Left 4 Dead is up there, but I've been having bad sessions lately filled with lag or just really annoying people (either as opponents or teammates)

I really like Hunter: The Reckoning for the Xbox. It was so campy and mindless, but fun regardless if you had a couple friends to play it with. Gauntlet with zombies, I suppose, but entertaining.

for me, L4D.

a new downloadable campaign would be awesome

does anyone know if they are making one
They are making a new game mode, and are making the other campaigns into versus modes

Also L4D FTW

Halo 3. I've had more fun with custom infection gametypes on custom infection maps than I've had with Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising combined. If infection doesn't count, then Dead Space. The necromorphs are technically zombies. They're reanimated corpses.

My favorite zombie game would be fallout 3. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE IN THAT GAME! JUST WATCH CHARACTER MOVEMENT!

Thats a hard one Dead Rising for the whole close as it gets to a real zombie apocalypse game. Stubbs for letting you be a zombie. Resident Evil Remake, 4 and 5. Too many to pick from.

Dead Rising was great. Slamming cones on zombies heads was a laugh, and you get could easily get over 1000 kills in a few minutes if you grabbed a car and went throught the tunnels. However, if it broke you were pretty screwed.

Left 4 Dead is my favorite, provided you're playing with a good group. Dead Rising wins the single player category for sheer variety of weapons. Where else can you kill zombies with CD cases, hedge trimmers and electric guitars (to name a few)?

Zombie Panic: Source gets an honorable mention. It really stresses teamwork for both survivors and zombies and is a blast to play.

Well...I'd go for Left 4 Dead for it's really cool multiplayer mode...but I have to say Dead Rising is my favorite here. Sure at the beginning it sucks, but after you get a bit more HP...killing zombies whit every single weapon you find has never been more satisfying.
