I played Pokemon red and silver a lot. I can also remember playing an old RTS called "Dune 2000" pretty much everyday. So much fun.

Aladdin and Lion King for PC.
Doom.
Dune 2 and much later, C&C.
MK2 for Genesis.
A few NES games too, but the PC ones and Genesis were definitely a bigger part of my childhood.

Edit: oh, also:
Thorin's Passage
Full Throttle
Kyrandia (all 3)

Mechwarrior 2
I grew up on this game. I remember me and my dad playing this against each other all the time. He'd win of course, but I still loved it.

And this is the most badass intro to any game, ever!
Ahhh yes....played this a lot back in the day. Loved Mechwarrior 4 as well....now i just wish they'd make a newer one

my picks
Defender of the Crown (C64)
StarFlight (C64)
Kings Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest (Tandy 1000 EX)
Trojan (NES)
Alex Kid (Sega Master System)
Missile Command 3D (Sega Master system)

those are just a few older ones i played when i was a kid

In no real order:
Super Mario Land 1989 for the Game Boy
SuperMario N64
Pokemon Red, later Gold
Goldeneye N64
Diddy Kong Racing N64
Soul Calibur -Dreamcast
Crazy Taxi -Dreamcast

I could go on but those are the few I thought of

That one is the BEST. GAME. EVER!

BTW, here's my childhood gems:

"Sam & Max Hit the Road"
"Day of the Tentacle"
"Simon the Sorcerer"
"The Secret of Monkey Island" and "Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge"
"Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis"
"Woodruff and The Shnibble of Azimuth"

Chances are you never heard of most of them... they're all awesome PC adventure games!
