Andrew WK is such a blast. I think the first five songs on that album are at exactly the same tempo. Such a good party album, speaking of which, I think 4 or 5 of the 12 tracks have the word 'party' in the title. Have you ever seen an interview with Andrew? He's really well spoken and thoughtful. It's just a funny contrast to his musical stylings.miracleofsound said:As am I, my friend.ragamuffingirl said:miracleofsound said:Double yay Kate Bush... what a voice, what a face, what a talent... she's a goddess.ragamuffingirl said:Yay Kate Bush!!! I would also say Tori Amos- Boys for Pele. That's all that I can think of right now.miracleofsound said:Live After Death - Iron Maiden
Hounds of Love- Kate Bush
Downward Spiral- NIN
Outside - David Bowie
As for Tori Amos, Little earthquakes and boys for Pele, all time greats. 'Winter' can reduce me to a snivelling wreck in the first four lines...
'Snow can wait, I forgot my mittens
Wipe my nose, get my new boots on
I get a little warm in my heart when I think of winter
I put my hand in my fathers glove'
And then it's waterworks... yes I am a sap.
After the Beatles, Tori was my first real obsession. Kate's the original but Tori has a special place in my heart. I'm glad someone else on here has good taste![]()
My all time favorite Kate Bush song is not on Hounds of Love though, it is the shimmering masterpiece that is The Sensual World. That song is musical sex.
Ha I love I Get Wet too, it's such a great album to just throw on and jump around like a twat. Killer riffs in some of the songs and the production is HUGE.LimaBravo said:Andrew W.K. - I Get Wet, that or Billy Joels - 12 Gardens.

Just watched a few there, quite surprising, I was expecting him to be less... eloquent. He's funny too, his video blogs about shampoo and mother's day were great.Nigh Invulnerable said:Andrew WK is such a blast. I think the first five songs on that album are at exactly the same tempo. I agree. This was the first album I ever owned myself, and the first album I really, truly appreciated, which says a lot for it because I was very young at the time. It's probably not the best Nirvana album in my book (I think In Utero is a masterpiece) Nevermind is the one that means the most to me.NoMoreSanity said:Nevermind by Nirvana. Nirvana are awesome, and this is filled with some of their best songs.
