Favourite Call Of Duty game!

Hi, Im new to this so im not sure if anyone else has put this up before.

For everyone that has an opinion about the Call of Duty series which one out of them was your favourite?

Mine personally was COD 4 because it was different and modernized. Rather than just shooting Nazis over and over it was a change to see you shooting terrorists or shooting Americans if you on the other side of the fence.

Personally i loved CoD2, excellent story and charecters. But as far as multiplayer goes CoD4 takes the cake with the level up system thing. Recently played CoDWAW and wasnt very interested, the story bored me and the charecters annoyed me.

I don't like WWII shooters. I find them half way between disrespectful and unimaginative. I played through 2 but got annoyed by seeing the same three faces over and over.

4 has one of the all time great single players and the multiplayer is totally tits on fire (if you know what I mean).

I've only played 4, so I can't realy comment on the rest though. Though it does seem like a supid move to go back to world war 2 after modern warfare. From what I've heard, the weapons are no where near as satisfing.

Another vote for 2 here. It was one of the first games I played on my 360 and everything about it just caught me, from the presentation, atmosphere, the multiplayer, the whole package. It was by no means utterly perfect, but I think it is still one of the best examples of a WWII themed FPS, if not of all FPSs.

Again, 4 has topped the multiplayer aspect. It's the one game I really miss playing online since I had to cancel my Live sub.

The shooting isn't much different, but it takes an approach with the story that's extremely rare in games.

The first. About the only first person shooter I've played, where my character came across as a true average Joe in the middle of hell.

Four was pretty decent too. Haven't played the 3rd, didn't like either 2 or WaW.

CoD4 by a hell of a long shot. I'm so fed of World War 2 games they need to stop happening NOW. This was the only one that like, wasn't, so it was bareable. I only played it for about a month mind.

Definitely COD 4. Story was great, the gameplay was great, and I wasn't in GERMANY for once!

I recently came back around to this, after getting WaW for christmas. I say, hands down, that CoD4 is the best game in the series. The weapons are tight(I love the AK47), the cinematics are well done, hell even most of the characters are genuinely likeable. WaW seemed to mimic Modern Warfare in too many ways, without successfully doing so on either front. The 2nd one was an awesome launch title, and normally will get about one playthrough a year.

I wish I had played it on the PC, but Ive never had a beefy enough system to run any decent games. Shit, I only just got Battlefield 1942.
