Who or what is your favourite character of all time, be it some one on a book, movie, comic, game, whatever. This is any and every medium for entertainment there is, so go nuts.
As for an added bonus give a reason, you do not have to, but makes it more interesting. What is necessary however is were they are from; book, movie or whatever.

Me my favourite is Artimus Entreri, him being the most human of any character I have ever read about. He deals with his mortality knowing he is getting older and slower as an assassin, but he gets over it and does not let it stop him. Also on a side note he is a bad ass, but that goes without saying. He is a villain from the Drizzt books, and I think he is truly the best anti-hero/antagonist ever.

Who/what is yours?

Jules Winnfield, from Pulp Fiction.
He just contained too much badassery.

I have many, but for the sake of this thread, I'll go with the last book I read: Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium.

You have to love the scoundrels.

Also, now that it just popped into my head... Lord Captain Cecil Harvey.

Crake, from Oryx and Crake.

Or Christopher from Korsakovia. He is so enormously insane and yet speaks polite and almost shy about his latest confabulation.

Or Dom Cobb, from Inception, because his first name means 'stupid' in Dutch, and coupled with his last name it sounds like domkop, which literally means 'dumbhead', but would actually be translated to 'moron'. Best part is that his wifes name is Mal, which means 'silly'. So we've got the charming couple moron and silly. It's freaking hilarious.

He's your favorite character, and you can't be bothered to spell his name right?

That said, my favorite is Jarlaxle, from the same series.

Me trying to pick a favourite character is like anyone else trying to pick their favourite nitrogen molecule in the atmosphere.

Edit: On second thought, Darth Vader.

Raskolnikov, from Crime and Punishment.

It was kind of scary how much I could relate to a fictional axe-murderer, and by that I mean personally relate to, not that he was a relatable character in general.

I also quite enjoyed Captain John Good from King Solomon's Mines, and I'll throw in the good old necromancer from Diablo just for the amusing dialog, plus the fact that he's chilling out next to all my posts.

I'm just gonna panic and go with Hrist Valkyrie. It's just too bad it takes her an entire game and a half to stop being suck a blindly loyal dick, and start being awesome.
